lol seven... I mean seriously, this is just more proof that this league has gone to absolute shit. Bringing that back up was unnecessary...*sigh*

It was a playful jab. No need to get upset.
Hell your team doesn't look half bad right now, although I can't compare it from last season.

Edit:
But seriously, trash talk is going to happen, and it is a part of competition. Just try to have a good time with it. None of it is ever personal.

Rofl, the problem is, I said that jokingly and every single A8 team was immediately up in arms in defense, shit got out of hand, I said things I shouldn't of said. That's over and done with and I'd prefer that shit just got dropped. Harking back to last season is kind of lame, it was rough, you guys weren't here and didn't experience what apia, wollongong, rekohu and us went through so bringing it up again and again is pretty shitty.

Put in the same situation last season, I don't think Decatur or any of the other recently promoted teams would've faired much better. AA #4 WAS and IS still a tough league. How Rekohu did so well last season is a testament to their resilience/gameplanning ability and the fact that they had much higher level players to begin with coming out of A8, than any of the other 3 promoted teams did.

With Alice Springs, Fiji, Tasmania, the Llamas, and the Condors* gone this league is a bit different from what it was last season. Now if we go 3-13 again this season, which we shouldn't, then by all means talk all the shit you want.

*Not to mention the fact that the Troyfins and Stingrays are either gone or no longer competitive.

Not too bad so far.

Tough game against Wellington this week for Swillers. Wellington is probably 10 favorite, but I won't pick against my Swillers. 28-27
Newcastle v. Sydney should tell alot too. The Dream will win be a touchdown. 24-17
Subs have easy week v Dharma. 92-0
CC should beat Saipan but could be close. 36-28

Thanks for this, I'll include it in the next post, unless you'd like to do the A7 tracking in this thread.

Its funny how things change and still stay the same. I had a player on the Swarm least season, and here I am back in the same division with the Assassins.

Week 2
Zeta Conference:

Sydney Sea Wasps 2-0-0
DECATUR STALEYS 1-1-0
Wellington Assassins 2-0-0

Alpha Conference:

Atlantis Lost Souls 1-1-0
Bundaberg Drop Bears 1-1-0

Overall for Week Two: 3-2
Overall A8 Promoted record: 7-3-0
Week One Opponents Combined Records: 5-5-0

Notes:
-Raptors/Lost Souls game turns out to be as good as expected. Teams in Alpha should fear this Atlantis team in future games.

-Newcastle vs Sidney turns out to be an epic outing decided by an extra point. Fully expecting both teams to be strong all season long.

-Bundaberg Bounces back with a crushing victory over an incumbent squad.

lol, I tried to do something similar last season with one of my HBs...by sending him back down to A7, nobody needed him apparently since most of my PMs got ignored

Week 3
Zeta Conference:

Sydney Sea Wasps 3-0-0
DECATUR STALEYS 2-1-0
Wellington Assassins 3-0-0

Alpha Conference:

Atlantis Lost Souls 2-1-0
Bundaberg Drop Bears 1-2-0

Overall for Week Three: 4-1
Overall A8 Promoted record: 11-4-0
Week Three Opponents Combined Records: 5-10-0

Notes:
-Bundaberg experiences the only loss...
To another A8 team in Atlantis

-Newcastle is probably looking ahead now and thanking their stars that the only team left on their schedule from A8 is DECATUR following back to back losses to Sydney and Wellington. After this win you have to start thinking that Wellington may well be the Beast of the Promoted.

-DECATUR rolls another incumbent.

A-8 promoted really starting to shine. Thanks for the great write up and updates. We are representing our old conference extremely well. Imagine if Komodo would have followed us up.

the Cowboys aren't planning to do much this season, weve decided to boost late and build up for next season; hopefully catch up in levels.

Keep the write-ups coming!
And let's keep Sydney rolling! Though we have a BEAST of a game coming up.

Week 4
Zeta Conference:

Sydney Sea Wasps 3-1-0
DECATUR STALEYS 3-1-0
Wellington Assassins 4-0-0

Alpha Conference:

Atlantis Lost Souls 3-1-0
Bundaberg Drop Bears 1-3-0

Overall for Week Four Record: 3-2
Overall A8 Promoted record: 14-6-0
Week Four Opponents Combined Records: 13-7

Notes:
-DECATUR squeaks out a win against a successful incumbent team to move to an impressive 3-1 start proving that they can play with anyone.

-Sydney/Wellington ends with Wellington controlling the second half of the game en route to a strong 4-0 start. There is no team right now in Oceania AA4 that Wellington can not go two to toe with. Sydney gets handed its worse loss in the teams history.

-Bundaberg continues to struggle with strong opponents with yet another Heartbreaking close game. As their schedule clears up their season will improve. Look for them to make a late surge and fight for an away playoff spot.

At this point you have to think that you have 3 legitimate contenders for a first round bye in the Zeta Conference with Wellington being a strong candidate for home field. I know its early, but statements are already being made by these teams with big wins.

Still aiming for a 5/5 playoff showing from A8!
