Oh, I'm assuming you said it to FDisk or Catfud, then? Either way, I don't think Darius is going to get banned over implying that he slept with your mother and that peanut butter was involved when you didn't face any sort of action after that.

Of course not so if I tell a story about someone and repeat the words that they said then it is ok? Cause it does not put me in the same boat...... or does it? The fact of the matter is if you are using the same language then you are in the same boat. It is either offensive or it is not make up your minds and stop being bigots.

I just don't agree with that viewpoint, Logan. Entirely different context, entirely different reasons for use. I think you are being overly sensitive and out of touch with reality and attempting to ignore the issue at hand.

The issue isn't the use of the word, it's one implying through use of the word that an individual is in some way inferior to another group based on their race or heritage.

If I were to make up a word, give it a definition that was vile and hateful towards a certain group of people, and then proceed to use it does it make it okay because that word isn't standard for doing such? No, it's all about intent and context. When a gay man pseudo-jokingly calls himself a fag amongst friends is he being a bigot? No. Context, intent.

you can't pick and choose when it is offensive, it is either an offensive word that should not be used or it is not.

The context of sleeping with a black woman who wants to be called that? Absolutely absurd. But frankly, in that situation, her sexual fantasies are her business and so long as two consenting parties agree to that behind closed doors, that is their business.

And then to imply that using offensive words in a joke is okay because the ultimate objective is humor? At the expense of degrading a group of people?
