Let me tell you about Bosnia, tons of building made of cinder blocks with no roofs and mine fields all over the place. I was close to a town called Brcko (berch co). Been there, done that and have no plans on going back. Hated living in a tent.


I do believe 2 years is the min of service, my brother did 2 years in Navy back in the day.

In the USAF you have to do at least 4 years. I know the Army gives options of 2,3, or 4 years. I did 4 in the AF myself, spent 8 months in the middle east.

I served during Desert Storm/Desert Shield. I was in a new unit, so we never went over. I was assigned to base HQ and served on the fire team for funerals. I don't know how many funerals I attended, but it was an honor to honor the memory of fallen soldiers.

My brother's currently actively serving. I believe he intends to go career with it.

I spent 9 1/2 years in the navy. I know when I was getting in there were 1 or 2 2yr contracts availavle but that was supposed to be the last year for them. Now they are all 4 yr. Mine was 6yr initial contract.

You disgust me! You can say what you want about whoever you want. However, the only reason you have that right. Is because people who serve in our military have fought for it. Then you spit in the face of those very people. You have no class. Your an infant!

Just think, these guys here defend our coast with cannons, fighter jets and subs, I think that more than enough for me.
