Well I'll give Alpha the respect it deserves in saying that their top 2 teams (West Scranton and Mean Machine) are probably the 2 best in OPL if not in GLB. The thing about Zeta is its depth. Only Co-op city is a bit behind, but everyone else could beat anyone at any given time. There are no gutted team games or blowouts.

I'm glad that Cook Island could come in and hold up our end. I haven't been very active this offseason (my entire family is sick the last 4 days), but I didn't want to let Zeta down. I have a feeling there are going to be a lot of teams in Zeta with 9-7 and 8-8 records vying for playoff spots this season. This is a league of parity. A few elites and then probably 4-12 you could pick out of a hat, and it'll all come down to tactics and gameplanning.

Excellent point, those many seasons of having the league champ come out of Zeta made us soft for sure.

Looks like Alpha has the most consistent quality at the top, and Zeta has far more depth. Dunno if I'd say that either conference is better, without defining better first.

Well its easy to have consistent quality at the top when there are about 5 power houses and none have played each other yet.

I think both conferences have VERY good top teams.

Everyone puts Alphas top as better than Zetas top for some reason. I dont get it. I have only seen two meaningful games between the two.

The Nites beat Tits for a championship (by only 3 pts.)
MM beat the Nites for a championship (by only 3 pts.)


and there are many teams on par with us in Zeta....so I think both conferences have GREAT quality at the top. I wouldnt say any is better. Zeta is just deeper, and that is not the fault of Alpha since they suffered through a couple late offseason guttings. In a couple of seasons...both conferences will be loaded.

I dont count any scrimmages between top teams as most are figuring out AI stuff. The first game of the season matchups dont mean much either as one conference might have a gutted team playing a powerhouse. So to say one conference is better than the other based of that isnt fair either IMO.


Both conferences are = until there is a champ.

Right now...Alpha owns those bragging rights.
