Must not be a betting man. If the league is so "competitive" as you guys say it is, then it is an easy bet to take. I mean with so many "competitive" teams, then obviously 30 to 2 odds would be a no brainer! You are not trying to drop games moron. Hit the figure-it-out button and stop trying to convince people that teams that were not handed players or brought in to a league where they over-match everyone are going to compete for a championship.

Don't understand the personal attacks, seeing as they're against forum rules, but I'd never bet against my team. I mean if you want the honesty, I want to win. I want our team to 255-0 every team around here. I want to get every little legit tidbit that I can to do better. If you don't want things like that (and I know it's just a video game, but that's the way I am. I seriously didn't talk to my family after a thanksgiving football game for like 10 minutes of dinner. I want to win everything. I bring girls out to racquetball, basketball, tennis, bowling, mini golf... I don't care. I try to crush them.
If you don't want it, then quit complaining. If you do want it, then maybe you should understand why Hokie would never even need to respond to something as ludicrous as this. You think any NFL team would bet against themselves at any time?
Hokie wants to win. He is the best owner I've played for since being on GLB, and he makes sure he's got his shit straight. He won't respond to this, and I probably shouldn't gratify you guys with a response to a proposterous proposal such as this, but if you can't understand why he won't take this bet, then you probably shouldn't be playing tbh. I don't care if we were 0-16 in the A league last season... I wouldn't take this bet.
Well, Soapy I guess that is the difference between you and me. I also want to crush people in anything competitive, but it is not gratifying at all unless it is against a worthy opponent. If you want to go and crush girls in mini golf you do that. I will keep to playing men in real sports.
1. You took the quote out of context, and you're implying that I only want to beat up lesser opponents. I'm saying I want to win all competitions. And if you're playing men in real sports, why are you playing an internet text-based game (not a sport btw)?
2. Your post doesn't even begin to address why you think anyone in his right mind would bet against his team. It's just a shot at what I said... an attempt to win an argument.

Just a little FYI I did happen to play a sport at a level you could only dream of. So, GLB is fun at a different level. And no, I did not take your quote out of context. If you really want to test your team's might, convince your fearless owner to step into a league that reflects LOL's levels. Then you can truly see how good you guys are. Until then you have only proven that you can beat teams that are levels below you. That really isn't much of a test.
With regards to the bet, how is that not clear? If the league is as competitive as you believe than there are great odds another team can bring home the title. If not, hey you guys have won yet another championship and who cares if you can't post on this forum. I mean after all, isn't a championship better than posting on a silly forum?
