I didn't whine about that last year and then when we were moved up early this season after finishing 4th in our conference last season most of the members of my team knew we would only be further behind with several teams with level 30 players etc so we agreed for the best of the team that we'd have to make moves. Just so happened at the same time the other team my player was on disbanded and needed a place to go. Sorry the Raiders didn't just lay down for everyone.

The cry baby team that whines when they get moved up then scheme to get the team moved down to roll over a younger league. The epitome of a loser.

So, lemme see here, a team tries to make some roster moves to compete against teams that outlevel them by at least a season, and they're the bad guys???

And yes I am an original Richmond Raider, and I'm still on the roster.

There are several teams in Africa AA leagues with a bunch of 30+ players on it... why is Richmond taking all the heat ?

Because the writing is just a little plainer on the walls now to those teams that wanted to talk shit, but are 5-10 levels behind...and they don't like what they see.

As I said before, it would be wise for those types of teams to wait to boost and play some "catch up" with the levels....but I don't think they are patient or smart enough to do that....we'll see.

So let me get this straight... Africa AA#1 is a juiced up league???

RR is getting heat because they dumped basically all of the players they had last season, not because we need to play catch up......

No, AA was around for awhile before Bort decided to add the A level. South America has the same issues. Teams promoting out of A to AA ran into a very rude surprise last season. Last season, what was a league champ for an A league generally was scraping for a playoff position if they are lucky and depending on the condition of the league in terms of gutted teams, etc. This season features more A level teams in a AA league, so they will certainly compete for playoff positions. Getting a top playoff spot with a A league roster without doing any higher level recruiting is rather problematic.

Well, Richmond doesn't impress me more than that...

I just find lame to have Richmond playing in Africa. Kind of like when we had the Oklahoma Fire in 'Lion'.

First of all, it is 100% understandable that you guys wanna keep together as much as possible, and i can see that the timing was just right on this. Dont think anyone is hazing the players coming in.

But when it means dumping 50%+ of the roster that made the move up here possible, it just leaves a bad impression. Even more so hen you basically transfer a competetive CPL team here, a move that would never be allowed through ordinary means.

Every single one of the expansion teams that got moved up could recruit all lvl 35+ players, just look at WoA, most just chose not to out of respect for the players that got them to where they are. The fact that you would rather exchange most of your team than wait 1 season to get established just seems pretty lame, to me at least.

All that said, i wish you guys the best of luck, and as mentioned earlier its great that you found a place to get most of the old team to. You just have to have some feeling about how it looks to the rest of us that doesnt know what went on behind the scenes.
