That sucks ECT is now CPU after rollover. That was unexpected.

Grief to all you combiners!

Whaddya say Scranton? Season 7 TITvaders?

Or MM? Some MeanTITs? TITMachines?

TITCrushers?

ThornyTITs?

I say have at it, glad to keep the talent here if teams have to disband.

I'm not sure everyone has seen the IC/RTT combination. That's the only one I've seen though.

I mean, I improved Melbourne I think, but the guys came in from all over GLB.

I think were in the same boat as you scace. Were pounding the pavement real hard for season 6. Were finally free from all of previous owners inactive players. Our slate is finally clean.

I have no idea what people are looking for these days in recruitment and all. I've been trying to recruit for players for a couple A league teams and I'm getting NOTHING. Tried to fill a couple spots on IC .... a Pro team in Oceania no less... man. What the hell does it take to recruit these guys. Blows me away. If this was Season 3 I'd say forget it and create the damned players myself. Oh and what the hell are level 28 guys asking for 10k a day and 100,000 bonus doing??? There builds aren't even 'stellar'. ARRGHHH

Last season I offered the absolute MAX money that the game would allow for any free agent + equipment. I had money to burn. I still had people turn me down for less money to play for 4 - 12 teams just to start. One of the reasons I gave up.

A few of them joined basement teams here in Oceania pro. There is nothing you can do.

I ended up giving every single one of the Titans 1.5 million in bonuses over the course of the year and washing my hands of the whole ownership thingie.

Yeha...i mean, you guys don't want to know the hours you have to put in for recruiting -- but if you do it right, you can find some gems. The thing is, for every 10 you put effort in for, you might get 1. That is where ppl get frustrated.

LoL on the A league team I GM I have put out more than 30 contracts and they've all been rejected. I'm just trying to fill a hole we have in our line up at this point. I'm even sending contracts to builds that are HORRIBLE!! Even they reject. It's all good something will come through, it's just amazing how difficult this process can be. WE NEED A DRAFT!! That way new players have no choice.

You're right man. After running face first into a brick wall for 5 seasons, there comes a time when you think..."why the fuck am I doing this?"

Once that thought enters your head, it's over. I struggled through 2 seasons after that thought came in my head but I couldn't do it anymore after that.

Sending contracts out is the problem -- if you want to land a recruit, esp. a good recruit, be prepared to do the leg work and face time, and not throw them a contract until they've made a decision. Just my $0.02

need to beg borrow and steal

tough recruiting - worst thing about GLB

Better have money, winning record, chemistry and talent on your team to get the great guys.

There are some out there that want to play for fun, but good luck finding them

I thought I would be good and then I had some guys decide not to return. The chemistry falls again. 3 spots to fill and a 1000 offer and OMs on the table.

My luck - I fall asleep and everyone will sign. LOL

Didn't I mention above about mass offering not being the best way to go

Trust me, if you spend time on the right recruits and don't offer until you have a commitment from them, you find guys that are much better for your team long-term.

At least, that is the way we do it and it works pretty well

That is the kicker - most guys I have dealt with have shown interest and then bam! the big offer comes in and they go away or don't sign in for several days, leaving you hanging. Don't get me wrong it is expected. I've been at this since season 2 so I have a pretty good knack of the hook and reel. My bait is a little less tasty. LOL

LOL - well, I for one wish you the best of luck. Would love to see Saipan taking a run at the playoffs!
