I believe the reason was loldots

Trout claimed they no longer cared about the game (aka loldots), but I can't say for sure as I am not a member of the Trout and therefore had no access to their team forum.
Same goes for the team the Yetis beat in the league championship, except they employed an equally worthless strategy on offense.... their defense was pretty damn good though.

The Trout had charted QB scrambles against the Yetis throughout the season and thought they'd found something there. But they failed to realize the difference between a QB scramble and a QB draw.
Hobos decided early in the season that they'd go all-run in the title game, and went all-pass leading up to it for confusion's sake. They also screwed up their 4th-down playcalling.
It was a case of both teams caring deeply about the dots, and outsmarting themselves. Yetis changed nothing, and beat them both by default.

Meh its hard to get into CPL when seemingly the theme is to try and look like you don't care and be a prick as often as you can while secretly caring enough to post and boost..

They also failed to scout the DTs/NTs well enough. They should have known...
For the record, Yetis have ALWAYS cared about winning.
