GG D.C.

We knew we had a shot since our first game was so close, but I honestly didn't expect to pull this one off. You guys have a hell of a crew and an amazing defense.

What he said.

At least I feel like we earned it going through the 2-3-1

you guys definitely deserved it and put a hurting on us that few others were able to do this year.

You probably do, but I don't think it's a foregone conclusion that you win without that (in the second game). 17 of your points were the direct result of long passes to the HB out of that formation, and you got them early in the game which changed our offense (we had a run heavy offensive game plan that was changed due to the early deficit). I'm not taking anything away from you, because you took advantage of something that no one else did about our defense. As I said in another thread, great scouting job. I just feel like that game was mostly my fault with the way our defense played.

We'll definitely play you again next season in a friendly.

You may have to play them again for more than that. The way this restructuring talk is going a lot of us will probably move up.

How many from the West do you think are going to move up?

Not sure because there's no information coming out from Bort yet to nail it down but there are a ton of gutted and CPU teams so each one that is moved creates a hole that has to be filled by someone if their restructure is going to work right, plus you have the normal teams that are promoted/relegated. I have a feeling it will be more than just two or three extra teams. Hopefully several of us get the opportunity to advance but the only way to make sure is to keep winning scrims right now so that's what we're focused on.

I'm really good at spending Binestar's flex points, but I still don't think you are getting my point. If that game is simmed 10 times, you win 7-8 of them. However, with the way that sim went, I feel like I made the mistake that erased the upset that the sim wanted to give us. Holding your offense to only 27 is a good defensive job, but it could have been less (assuming the same sim occurs without that particular input/output on our defense) if that hole wasn't there. I'm not saying you shouldn't have won a game against us. I'm not even saying I had you pegged and missed one thing that would have made the difference in any sim. I'm simply saying that sim appeared to me ripe for an upset and I got out coached. That's tough for my pride to take.

But, I'm sure Bine will love to set up some scrims for next season, and I can't think of many better offenses to test our ability to defend the new plays against.

Just wait until I get my hands on the new offensive options

It's going to be mass chaos on a grand scale with dots going everywhere

I'll be honest. I am NOT looking forward to defending the number of new plays that are being installed with no help on defense to identify match up locks, spy certain players, run slants, twists, or stunts, or really anything useful. Next season will be an offensive explosion that will likely have Jerry and myself pulling Jerry's hair out (I don't really have any of my own, so he'll have to share).

I was 15 goin' on 20 when I met up with this old man
He was quite a lover of the cards and of the dice
He had whores and he had ladies, he made love and he made babies
He could tell some damn good stories and give some good advice

You gotta learn how to pick 'em son, learn how to lick 'em son,
Learn how to stick 'em son between the thighs.

You gotta try not to beat 'em too much, try not to teach 'em too much,
Try not to feed 'em too much bullshit and lies.

Honestly, the offense AI is way behind the defense AI right now, so I am licking my fucking chops at knowing that I might have the ability to outsmart a defense rather than call a goalline offense inside the 3...
