Well since you only lost by 3 and didnt "gameplan" then I would say that the teams where not that evenly matched, it is just that you didnt "gameplan"

Same season record, same team rating, similar level players, only beat them by 10 using team wide +5s in the regular season...

I know this may sound crazy but we here in Zeta gameplan for every opponent. Sometimes we win. Sometimes we loose. Apparently it is not the same for all the teams in Alpha.

they had time to coordinate team-wide +5's but they couldn't be arsed to plan half their games?

Another excuse. Why cant you give teams credit for beating you instead of always saying "I forgot to gameplan" or "I was too busy to gameplan", Just try it once, admit you where the lesser team on that particular day and congratulate your opponent.

Because if I wasn't so busy not gameplanning, I could gameplan and beat them with said gameplan.
