As an agent of one of those DEs, I've noticed that my DE has a really HIGH good chance
for a sack the play immediately following the one in which he produced a sack. I've always assumed that was due to a short term drop in OT playing ability due to the OT being shocked at allowing the sack.

I don't know how high confidence should be...I would guess that getting it up to 35ish would make a big difference.

Well, what's a good number do you think?

My OT is at 30, and only gave up 2 sacks in the regular season. But in the championship game he got demolished for a lot of sacks/hurries.

There are *no* good confidence training options, so I'd have to spend points on it really...

3 more strength/blocking?
5 more agility?
9 more confidence?

Or something stupid like +1 str, +2 agi, +3 conf

What do you think would help performance the most?

vis+conf?

Confidence is calculated in the equation to see if a lineman can shed or get around your block. Not only does it help you prevent sack after sack, it also plays a key role in stopping the first one.

That's bad information.

Do you spew this bullshit, in every single position forum?

No one should listen to this guy, his opinion is relentlessly false.

I'm not going to give away my guys confidence numbers but let me just say it might be the reason for his 133 pancakes.

you have your own opinions. I have mine. how about you throw out an opinion? let's see if anyone agrees? it's obvious an offensive line need high str blocking agility and speed to a certain degree.

Confidence, stamina, and vision comes next in terms of whats important. you understand?
with confidence probably being a head of speed. which makes it fourth in terms of what's important for an Offensive lineman.

Go pick up a guide. find where the formula is calculated to see if a pass rusher can shed your block. Confidence is in there. you need it.
