Haha, I certainly appreciate the effort. Sydney's a beastly team though, and I hope to have a shot at them in 4 weeks. But let's not get too hasty.

I do have a question. Say theoretically, Sydney and Tonga make the AA#2 Championship Game. Both teams are 19-0. Who hosts this game?

And that's the beauty of it all. The team that hosts an equal record Championship game is the team the game determines comes from the better conference ... as per the results of Week 16!

Kick ass! . Of course, if we get there. Many good teams yet to play, and I'm sure Mauna Kea, Chinese/Fuego, and Christchurch will be hard tests.

I appreciate the praise, from yourself and others. But so, so much can happen in the playoffs. I've been on the raw side of a 16-0 team losing in its conference title game, and that's an awful, awful feeling. I hope we can fulfill this prediction. Of course, for promotion. But I tell you, a Sydney/Tonga title game would be worth the price of admission.

I hate to be a downer and all but I kinda hope you lose.

I kinda like your post, predcitions and reviews.

On a side note I hope Gator stays around a while also.

It would be a shame to waist all the good insight and entertainment to a different conference.

Anyway good luck on your championship of the undefeated. I hope that we ( the rest of both divisions that are in the playoffs)can do something to make sure that it doesn't happen.

I Know we don't really deserve to be onthis list but I am kinda offended that we aren't.

I mean someone said we are all undefeated now that they playoffs are here. Which mean that we are all teams to be feared. lol jk

I just want people to know that we had our hurdles in the regular season but I believe that we are ready to make the impact that we should have made. I feel like we let the conference down by not showing up earlier and the game planning mistakes that lead to loses. It was however to figure out the AI and find a game plan that works. I believe that we have found this and hope to make a run.

Good luck to everyone.

#9 Alice Springs Fire vs. #2 Tonga Thunderbirds 10-59
#22 Newcastle Surfers vs. #32 Brisbane Brown Bears 126-0
#28 South Australian Serial Killers vs. #12 Dunedin Wolverines 13-77
#17 Darwin Mud Crabs vs. #19 Tasmania Devils 23-7
#13 Thatto Heath Teeth Smashers! vs. #3 Christchurch Knightmares 17-38
#1 Sydney Sea Dragons vs. #21 Uluru Rockies 62-9
#29 New Age Steel Curtain vs. #23 Coney Island Warriors 9-26
#4 Chinese Bandits vs. #25 Vanuatu Gunslingers 66-35
#26 Tasmania Sand Gnats vs. #6 Ohio Valley Ironmen 13-95
#5 El Fuego vs. #11 Tasmanian Devils 48-20
#18 Mauna Kea Chenabogs vs. #30 Williamsport Soul Reavers 31-6
#7 The Four Horsemen vs. #16 The Throwback Cowboy's 35-20
#20 Redscape Diplomats vs. #27 Manilla Gorillaz 42-13
#10 Palau Pimp Smackers vs. #24 Cimmerian Barbarians 63-0
#8 Solomon Islands Alchemy vs. #15 Easter Island Moai 22-24

As a matter of fact, the Moai scored the only upset. It should have been 10 - 6 for Zeta.

It can be argued that Zeta has had the luck of the draw every year.

I agree that Zeta OVERALL has the stronger conference...Zeta's average power rank is 16, Alpha's is 17...but it is VERY close.

I guess I have alot of free time at work today. I just might post a thousand times.

It can also be argued that if you have the best division then you are doing to get the best match ups. I mean if we have over half of the top 10 in power rankings then the odds are that we will have more favorable match ups against the other conference. SO I don't think that this should even be considered as evidence.

On a side note. The Zeta conference has lost 2 of its best teams in the last couple of years and replaced with gutted teams. Yet, we are still the better conference and I hope we will remain so even after this season.

There is really no way to tell unless you have a true 'Top-to-Bottom' matchup. I believe Zeta Conference is very top-heavy while even the #10 team (The Throwback Cowboys) in Alpha is competitive.

We certainly won't take you lightly. We wouldn't face you until the conference title game, though. I should've really posted the Chinese/Horsemen, because I was just posting our most likely matchups. Mauna Kea in the 1-8 game, Chinese/Horsemen in a 1-4/5 matchup, and in all likelihood Christchurch in a possible finals.

No disrespect intended at all.

Fair points, and I wish it would be a true top-to-bottom matchup!

I know I've said that before. It seems like the most fair way anyway to assign the games.

If not us, then I'd hope you. Christchurch has us on full notice.

You guys are good and if there was no Tonga I think Christchurch vs. Sydney would be an excellent game. As it stands I think Tonga is the class of the league at this point.

it's ok......since this league started 3 yrs ago we were the over-acheievers. We can handle this position....we have always been under the radar for the most part...

I'd rather be the underdog anyway, any way you surprise people is a good thing then. Much better than being Tonga. If they lose then they're total chumps.
