Actually, Cedo did most of the heavy work on the finances after Derek ditched in mid-stream, the stadium is still small, and the concessions and ticket pricing have been fixed via trial and error, as we sold no tickets at the price that had been recommended, which as I recall was shortly after Derek left and thus may have been his recommendation. As one of the "big players" on the team, I can tell you that we all would have left long ago if we were with this team for the money. Most of us stick around because it's a good crew and kipper has become a very good owner, and many have brought over other players to join because of that.

As for gratitude, I'm happy to give it when someone earns it, but not simply because someone incorrectly claims to be due it.

The Bears do have a bad overall record against the Cows, as we only really became a pretty good team sometime in season 4. With a playoff win and an overtime loss in our last two matchups, I reckon we're doing OK these days, even with spotting the Cows a few levels at almost every position.

It still does not change the fact that a Derek went over at the Bears request and he happily obliged for as long as he could. He has his own team and GMd teams... Kipper is a lovely fella and a good owner. Im not saying that you guys didnt play your part in Bears success or that you're a bad team, but at the same time... for you to come back with this crap after pleading for and receiving help from the Cows is simply bullshit. That is undeniable.

I only wish he wasnt so generous... I guess we can only speculate as to whether you would be where you are now had he not thrown in his 2 cents. As for your obvious lack of appreciation, I only hope the Bears dont struggle again in the future as outside help wont be forth coming.

GL in the Playoffs, hope to see you in the 2nd round.

You do realize that this whole thread was in jest at the start and that I wasn't even involved until you got upset and started asserting a Cow claim to the Bears' glory, right? The Cows made the same claim last season after we beat them in the playoffs, and there have been a couple other similar ones, and this one was finally just too much for me. You are right that Derek was invited over and made an initial attempt to help. There were just some of us who never wanted him there and then didn't think he was of much help once he arrived, so seeing the repeated public claims of credit eventually just became too much.

Good luck in the opening game. If we meet again in round two, I'll expect another close battle.

Wow, this kind of jumped to a new level!

A rivalry game, yay!!!! This is what I always wanted!! Anyway, i'm not going to get involved in any name calling etc., I have a rather good rapport with Kipper and he knows what I did/didn't do and the reasons I couldn't do more. I'll leave the rest of the jest to the bears and my trusty GM!

I will say however that the Bears are the ONLY team that i'm concerned about going into the playoffs, as much as I respect the Players, Vandals, Stackers etc! I was happy however that you guys got Nissa rather than the Players, in that I believe they'll give you a tougher game!]

Though now after this thread i'm sure everyone wants this game to happen, so we'll hammer the 'Georgians' tomorrow and look forward to a game vs the Yogi's on saturday!

Yeah, I know... its why I laughed and got a nice rise out of you.

As for Bears glory... I think you're using that word quite loosely. I dont see any trophies in your cabinet either, or even a 16-0 season.

Best of luck.

Our new options schemes are going to blow them away Butta, my prediction... Trip Scriggins to pass for 80 yards and rush for 360 and 4 TDs, though I don't want to be too optimistic, so in rushing for 360 yards I must concede he may fumble once!

Wait, if he runs for 360 yards, won't he be back to 0 yards rushing?
