I love the idea behind this, but I want to earn my way up. I don't want to be a shoo in due to the new rule. At the Yetis, we have a stout record during the regular season, but not so hot during the playoffs. I want to turn it around and do it the right way.

It doesn't look like that anyone's jumping two leagues up
Basically, more teams are being promoted one league up, and that # of teams being promoted depends on how many CPU teams there are in the region
BTW, no one's moving regions

So, for example, say HRY wins this league championship and is promoted to AAA, that takes them out of the running for an opening in pro?

I'm assuming that there is no way that you can jump up multiple leagues. For example, there's no way that HRY can be in Pro in season 6 (
), but there's a good chance that HRY will be in AAA in season 6
Example two:
Region X Pro has 6 CPU teams. 2 of the 6 CPU teams finish in the bottom two of their conference. 6 CPU teams + 4 demoted teams - 2 CPU team that finished in the bottom two of their conf. = 8 open slots in Region X Pro
Top 4 teams in Region X AAA1, and top 4 teams in Region X AAA2 will be promoted up to Region X Pro. Using Bort's criteria, only the teams (in Region X AAA 1 and 2) that made it to their conference final will be promoted

i thought he was completely changing leagues to make them fair.

He said something to the effect of "flagging" low level teams that are inappropriately placed in leagues at this time and dropping them as well.

The thing I'll miss the most is the TaySC thread from SoCold. I better get my chops in.

yup, just CPU teams
Levels have nothing to do with where a team is placed. Only their playoff record, record, etc have to do with it
And BTW, all the teams are staying in their current regions

Jesuits should probably move down since their levels are so low... IMO...
Good gameplanning makes up for low levels; it's quite obvious in Arrowhead, Beijing Black Dragons, Shanghai Assassins, Jesuits, etc

Win at least one playoff game for starters
If you win 2+ playoff games, it's almost a lock that you'll be promoted to SE Asia AAA

The aspect which I dislike about the new system is there will be teams promoting up who do not have the money from enough home playoff games to financially compete at the next level as other teams that are promoting on up. Hurt a team like that and they become a little more likely to be sold which means they drop all the way down and become reset.
