Well we got blown out by Spicewood with alot of bad luck. Wow gator, you guys musta been supremely misfortunate in this game... it does take quite a ton of bad luck to lose 42-0. Cam musta been walking backwards under a ladder with a black cat pacing in front of it to have been sacked 8 times and picked off 3... and hurried 16 more? Dang, I hope my defense bought lottery tickets this week. I'm sure Julius Dee realizes how lucky we are and isn't licking his chops or anything.
And man, your linebackers and corners definitely did not have luck on their side when they missed these tackles:

I will say, however, that I do think we had a bit of bad luck of our own today. It was pretty inauspicious that A7's leading passer went to sleep in the 2nd and 3rd quarters, despite having not been touched by your defense. A damn shame that a QB that went 70% against a USA Pro team last night and 80% against the elves managed to whiff on quite a few critical 3rd down passes during the middle of the game. But I guess you can say that was bad luck for the Hawks too - prevented cruise control from kicking in early, which mighta helped you get some points on the board.
Anyways, good game to the hawks, you guys are usually a class outfit and I do have a ton of respect to you, but you can ask FairForever how I feel about people making excuses and not giving credit after losses - and he's been a whole lot more classy since season 3. I just think it's a bit weak.
As for the West/East debate... I don't think this did much to put it to bed, since it was the 3rd place West team playing the 11th place East team. But those questions should be answered more in short order. Good luck in your big game with Alpine, in your scrimmage with San Diego, and the rest of the season.
