Odd that all 4 offensive MVP candidates come from 2 O's...

Jetsfan1873 definitely has a point!
Mickey Webster leads the conference in pancakes at Center... He's been a great addition and a true stud for our team!
Not that PROTECT BLOCK isn't a stud also... there is definitely some talent in the conference, thats for sure!

All depends on how you view "MVP"...
Is it the stud of the league that represents the conference?
Or is it the most important player on a specific team, that if you take that guy off the roster that the team would be in some real trouble?

stud of the league, and most valuable.....but like i said earlier..these are preliminary. much to be said at end of season. after the big teams have all played eachother.
ex. is rhinos play kings and wells runs for 40 yards and they lose, then he is not so much mvp then...or if mcnabb throws 3 pics in a game that loses them #1 seed..then he loses mvp points as well...i will put more time in to end of season team, as well as more awards! it will be fun!
my own teamates pointed out that one of the tackles had given up a sack to one of the league leaders in sacks, but our own tackle didnt even give up a hurry to him, and held him to 2 tackles. so there are a lot of things not included. at end of season i will come up with something..but enjoy forn now.

Thanks for putting me on the list! I've been fortunate to have a very good team around me to allow my receiver to do so well. Good luck to everyone for the last half of the season!

No love for the woolsheds 1-2 punch
Both rbs averaging 100 yards a game and have over 1000 yards and 15+ tds on the season

We should decide on the awards that will be offered at the end of the season now. Like best offensive unit, best def. unit, etc...

that's how I've always looked at MVP, personally
it's really hard to look past huge statistics tho
From the Niger perspective, adding in a stud RB like Quam has made all the difference in the world. take him away and we go from 8-1 probably back to the .500 range we've traditionally been at.
on the defensive side of things, our Dline has been so great, that stats for all our LB's and DB's are way way down, because the Line is hogging all the stats this season
personally, I'd like to see each team nominate a player from offense and defense for MVP (of offense and defense) and then try to have some sort of consensus on which player deserves each respective award
obviously we could have 16 way ties for both, but I hope people will vote true

I was not wanting this in this thread but what i will do for end of season, is each team will send me there o and d mvp for their team. i will narrow it down to 4 each myself. and then the conf. will vote on a winner for each pos. i assure you i will be fair, and mostlikey unfair to my own teamates in fear of showing favoritism. but it is the best way..now enough of this...how bout those all pro players..lol

too early to really tell for the all-pro
schedules sometimes dictate that you get the weak teams in 1st half of season, or in the end, and it's not the same for all
I'd also just base it on the first 15 games, as the final week crossover can have a really uneven effect on stats (ie, if #1 team lion draws #16 team elephant, big stats would be racked up compared to #2 lion vs #2 elephant. if that makes sense)
no real arguement with what you've listed already. I think it'll change by the end of the season tho

Both John Henry de Hansa & Sully Na-cho have 3 returns for TDs on the Rhinos... and John Henry only has 13 Kick Returns!
