Warrior General Games

Let me just say here I wasn't trying to be harsh, just pointing out straight facts. We beat you at every phase of the game. No disrespect is meant by this post. However, your posts all seem to disrespect us, by saying you were 'close' to beating us, when that certainly is not the case.

There is no way any SANE human being can look at that game, look at the stats, and WATCH the game and feel that it was 'close'. It wasn't close, and that was my point.

Please stop disrespecting our team by saying you are 'almost' as good as us, and that the 41-13 victory we had was 'close'. We beat you guys soundly. Make excuses or whatever you want, but be sure to say that we BEAT you, not that it was 'close'... because it wasn't.

Wow.....Deadly I did think you were a bit to bitter about the loss but to resort to personal attacks to him and say I'm not worth your time when all I did was moderate and never tried to attack you? It's only a game I know but I certainly lost respect for you as an owner. I just think someone's mad that you released me as the OC just for it to come back and bite you in your ass (not that you wouldn't of lost anyway) I HOPE we meet in the playoffs, should be fun

alright, I'll tone it down a bit.. I got a little irritated that you guys are not following what I am saying and misconstrued my post altogether. I never said it was close and thats what you keep claiming.. I said closer- I never said we should have beat you. I actually started this thread with all good intentions just laying out my opinion that I thought we didn't get beat as bad as the score shows.

Then your completely idiotic GM (not sure his role and do not care) goes on a rant saying

We fuckin clown stomped you, and there really isn't anything you can say about it. Take your loss and get over it...it's not like we don't have respect for you, but don't make stuff up.

now anyone can throw the word respect in a post to try and make it seem they aren't attacking.. but that post had zero respect for us.. and hes throwing in claims that I am making up stories.. I am hoping this guy is like the owners brother in law who fell on his head too many times and he feels bad for him.

And my bad Anthony18Wa.. guess that dude irritated me enough to snap on you which was undeserved.. I am not bitter at all over the loss, only thing that caused my rant was the fact two of the gms were responding to my post and took my "closer score" comment and turned it into something different altogether. I am completely satisified with my decision to release you because I do want to run my offense and there were somethings that made me question your ability and any owner would have made that same move.

Not like my opinion matters, but to me, Deadlyskilz's initial post sounded to me like a generic blanket statement that any coach/owner would say after a losing effort, regardless of opponent or degree of loss. I didn't read any disrespect in it, and it didn't seem like he was disparaging Rome's performance in the least.

I agree with Wally. The guy just came out and basically said his team got smacked down, but it wasn't as bad as he expected or the statistics didn't reflect the lopsided score.

I didn't read any disrespect toward anyone until Rome got involved, and then there was plenty of disrespect.

I don't remember seeing Rome trash talking the boards too much last season...maybe they're getting a little comfortable on their perch. But I'm just the lowly Men-of-War, what do I know?

Deadly said, "SHOULD HAVE been a lot closer" not "the game was close"...reading skills are lacking for some posters here.

We were underdogs due to some very good additions that Rome has made recently which led to Deadly trying a game plan that we have never used. If we would have used a more conservative game plan, the score would have been closer but Rome still would have won. Give it a rest.

It's cool man, cause we can each have our opinions, I just see that we gave you several big breaks and we still won by 28, I personally don't see how anyone can say it was closer then it looked, but hey, maybe we'll play again. And I don't see what made you question my ability since we started off great but looking at your team then the team I'm on now and the players and GMs for both, I'm glad you released me as well

Well that's your choice but it's a pretty dumb argument to say that we shouldn't flatter ourselves because we have higher players when you guys could just as easily go out and get higher players as well. But hey, if you want to stick with only winning so many games and losing against the top teams then that's your choice, just seems like a pretty ignorant argument.

I can agree with that, but I would imagine with just cause. My point is, he didn't shoot the first bullets......

Actually I wasn't talking about Rome the team. They're good and brought in a lot of high level players to make them better.

And we would have beaten them last season but we had this GM who didn't know how to setup punts in the AI which led to us losing by 10.
