It's like that interview on "Spinal Tap" where the interviewer asks:

"Why don't you just make 10 higher?"

Then Nigel ... or jbleich ... sits there in confused silence before answering ...

"These go to 11."

Well, if we always stopped teams on third down, we'd win.

Or, if my baseball team would just get that third out in an inning, they'd win.

If the Patriots would have stopped the Giants on that last drive, they'd won.

If Kerry had gotten more votes than Bush, he'd won.

Any other obvious statement setting out there you'd like to make?

Boomshanka has such a way with words. What a wordsmith he is. So eloquent, so intelligent, so penetrating and to the point.

In his honor, I shall stfu. Good night and good luck.

Yeah but you would have lost if they stopped you.

The rankings are great, but what about the projected scores for tomorrow's games?

My crystal ball says all the teams that make stops on defense win, while those who don't lose. Specific scores are still pretty cloudy right now ...

with only 2 games in the projector the scores are laughable... as are the standings for that matter

You know, I remember late in the season last year that projector was actually fairly accurate. About how many games in does it take?

I would imagine that after 4 games the scores are reasonable, but I doubt that accurate. After ~7 games I think the projector becomes fairly accurate. This is a pure guess by me.

Most of the time it is easy to see why a team would be under/over rated by the projector. ie they have played a bunch of hard/easy teams that has skewed their record

For example, the projector has The Wheatfield beating Sofia Spiders 29-9. That is almost entirely because Sofia faced Dallas already, while the Wheatfield has had an easier schedule. With so few games in the projector, the projector doesn't know that the Wheatfield had an easier schedule etc... so it overrates Wheat and under rates Sofia

I see. Our schedule is definately top heavy, but there is a lot more competition this year than their was last year that is for sure.
