Main issue is Maths. 3 Olinemen at 54 or 57 blocking (plus the odd 51 Fullback) against a DT at 54 and an NT at 54. Numbers don't stack up in favour of the DT's. That said I normally judge the interior linemens success on the ypc in the middle and the LB's tackle numbers. If the DT's can stop the C or G's releasing to the LB's then their job is done - succesfully.
NT/DT is a tough position to track effectiveness other than opposition rushing and W/L.
