alpha has to many cupcakes for us to compete for them. I mean 16 passing TDs in one game.....just wait until alpha cat teams play both Bucket Bushidos and Pee Pee Warriors, enough padded stats for 6-8+ of our games right there..

Nope no sense at all. One of our guys can have a career year and not live up to numbers like that.

Well, I guess there are a couple of team trophies we can all play for.

oh wells, at least most of our games are going to be exciting. Last season it was boring to go up against the cupcakes, especially if you had several in a row. I like it better when I play the Titans or Bulls or (Your team here if its any good).

I too think that they need to do something about the level of talent in our league. I'm not bashing the owners who are staring over or slow-building. I'm just saying that if you want to start over, you should be able to move down to A or something. Heck, we have a level cap on some leagues, so why can't we have a minimum level as well? That would keep teams from going with all level 1 players.

I guess the only negative is that it tips the stats to one conference, which only matters for league leaders.

Is there anything trophy wise for most tackles?

I agree with the frog cat. They definately need to adjust the leagues to keep them balanced somehow. I can't blame the teams as I think they are doing what is best for them but it needs a way to fix this.

i dont know if they are doing whats best for them. For one, your plan is to wait 2-3 seasons down the road before even thinking about making the playoffs. Its only been 2 seasons with my team and im dying to move up. Thats 2-3 seasons of complete boredom imo.

Second, who says once they move down they will get a shot at moving up in 2-3 seasons, they might get a shot at coming back in 3 seasons maybe, (once A caps lift there will be a lot of good teams that start showing up) but doubtful they will win the conf champ on their first try. even if they do get lucky, so what, they'll be back at the same league they are now in 3 seasons from now, if not 5+, IF they can even keep their players on the team for that long while losing.

Third, all this while their fan base is going to zero on the stadium and selling for minimum ticket prices. They wont be able to really expand their stadium for 4+ seasonand wont have a lot of money (not a really concern, but still a minor issue)

Fourth, thats 3 seasons of boredom and losing

I agree Turbo, I've always thought the whole slow build thing was kind of dumb. If it's ever worked out I don't know of it. Most of the owners I know of that have tried it have given up and sold their teams after a couple seasons.

In all honesty, the whole thing seems kind of lazy to me.

See I actually like this league and while moving up would be nice I am not sure it will ever be the same as playing with Mekong, Winona, Lost City and the like. I actually think we are missing and losing rivals that have been created. This league would be far more interesting with Queensland and Forbidden City in it again this year.

From what I have heard and read the Pro and AAA leagues are not really any better. They have gutted teams and many of the same issues and problems we have.

to me this would all be far more interesting and a lot more fun if we had the same cast of characters.

I'll still check in and talk a little trash, but its easier yet less relevant when you don't have to back it up in a game. We gave one of the top teams in our conference a tough game in week 1, though we gave up a 17-0 lead all in the 4th quarter. I blame Snaza and his "you should protect the ball" strategy which I was trying out when we were ahead by at least a TD. Hopefully we'll have another shot at them down the line.

i actually agree with Porch on something....it sucks because the active members of the forum get promoted and its usually people that dont post that get demoted.

on another note, i was thinking that for one of these teams: Tsunamis, Bulls, Gangsters, Titans, Buzzards, (top teams at the moment) one of them wont be in AAA for another 5 seasons, which is really a shame after seeing what kind of garbage is playing up there.

Hopefully this poll will actually yield a result.

Yeah when I seen that poll I was like shit I don't know if I could deal with that .Part of the reason I like this GLB is this forum, and the rivalries and cliques that have developed in this conference. Forum's of the leagues that I GM suck.I always have heard that SA PRO was all that,It's the deadest forum i've seen.Read it for yourself.Flat out sucks.

well at least SEA AAA2 forums doesn't seem to bad, but i guess one of the owners of a playoff team is going to quit the game after this season.

I check the SEA pro forums every once in a while, not very interesting, but not dead.

I recognize the problem with gutting, but I think a complete team reshuffle would be awful (though it may get one or two of our better teams to AAA without winning promotion). I like that we've developed some rivalries, and that even those of us that tend towards a more flaming (comments, not lifestyle choice) style, are really quite decent and interesting compared to what you see elsewhere.

It seems to me that the gutting fix should be easy (mid-season gutted teams run by CPU until offseason, team moves down to bottom level so as not to screw over new owners, and best, non-championship teams move up). You could combine that with conference-based awards, and the bad side effects from gutting would be gone.

well you think out of the hundreds and hundreds of suggestions that were brought since season 1 by players (me included) they would've picked one by now and gone with it. Its the lack of action by the people in charge that suck.

Now they are having a poll because they are to scared to make a decision based on what they think is best for the game. Did they really think the average GLBer is going to vote for whats best for the game or themselves.....does the average GLBer even know whats best for the game.

The whole gutting issue would be FINE if they just listened to me in season 2. Increase the teams going up and down for a few seasons and get the dedicated owners in the higher leagues asap. We would've had most of this leagues top teams in AAA (if not all the top teams) and those AAA teams that would kill us would be in the pros. BAM.....also i think it should be one big conference not separate, would make forums much more exciting

I agree with you Turbo. The one option I wanted to pick wasn't available in the polls. Simply: move the gutted teams down AND more promotion and relegation.

I like everything else really.

I'd do at least 2 from each conference, and maybe 3 going up. (they could split the diffence and have a one game playoff). 5 relegations from a conference seems high, but when you figure in at least 2 gutted/crap teams in each, I think it is reasonable for the time being.

If they are going to do a complete reshuffle (poll tends that way), then they need to make one pyramid (polls do NOT tend that way), because the rivalries are probably dead anyway for the former, and the latter just makes sense. (So that we could kill off this 'only want to play in USA leagues' BS.)
