I'm still not sure how it all works. I have 9 or 10 shopping tokens but no bonus tokens. I dunno

chron, if you're getting shopping tokens, you're not getting bonus tokens.
basic training: 2 training points + $$ = 1 stat trained & extra event (+training, +morale, or 1 shopping token)
adv. training: 5 training pts & more $$ = 2 stats trained & bonus token

if u buy a item and it gibves you +1 at a SA your player type does not use, normally do u still get that ability?

Yes. May not help that player much, but the SA is enabled if he is equiped with that piece...
