I'd rather have a "standard equipment" with strenght than have a +2 stamina if I do not plan to cap stamina....
What do you think?
The point is that these advanced equipment are considered "lvl 1 eq" for the purposes of upgrading them with bonus tokens. So it would take a Lot of bonus tokens to upgrade a piece of adv eq, it could potentially be much better than the "standard equipment"
I'm not sure I get it... this may be my poor english... I'm a french canadian.
Let's say I capped strenght (to 48) on my lvl 8 center and have 30 in stamina.
Having a standard pair of shoes that is +2 strenght (brings str to 50, witch would have cost 4 xp) kinda worth 4 XP
Having an advanced equipment +2 stamina upgraded once makes it +3 stamina kinda worth 3 XP.
So my point is why would I buy a +2 stamina or +2 confidence or any other skill I do not plan to cap?

While it takes a while, you are allowed to upgrade the advanced eq as many times as you would have upgraded a standard piece. So if you find an advanced eq that gives +2 stamina, and you are level 8, you would be allowed to upgrade that piece of equipment twice (when you get enough bonus tokens). The general understanding is that upgrading a piece of eq can be done in any stat that normal eq can be upgraded with. So instead of upgrading stamina again, you could (and probably would) upgrade your strength. At level 8 that would allow you to have a +2 stamina +2 strength piece of equipment.

How useful is the +2% Hold Block?
Is there something to compare that to, so I can determine how helpful that would be?

With the new changes Bort has made, where you can upgrade eq twice a season with +1 to the skill and +1 to the SA, it almost might be worth it.
If there was an OK chance of picking up a +1 STR/BLK +1 Special ability Item I might go shopping, or is this type of eq. so rare that they practically never come?

Lately better equipment has been coming up for me, and more of it seems relevant to my player. And higher level players get better chances to get good items.

Superior Orange Cleats
+1 strength
Hold block chance +2%
Superior Orange Cleats
+1 Pass Block SA
Superior Grey Cleats
+1 Run Block SA
Those were the 3 I first got, any idea what would be better 1 to a block sa or 2% to hold block. i know it would be pure speculation.

Can you upgrade twice a season?
I know you can get 16 Bonus points a season ( ie enough for 2 upgrades )- but you can only upgrade at levels 8/16/24 like normal EQ -
AND is it clear on Upgrades that you can add to another, different, Attribute - not sure myself.
Still a bit of a waste having even +1 Adv EQ on an Attribute thats not over soft cap.

I hope so, if you can retrospectively upgrade your lvl 8, 16, 24, 32 equip when you have enought bonus tokens you can do this.
I think you can add to a different attribute also.
Confirmation would be nice though.
At the soft cap it's a waste, but in 5:1 range it starts to look nice now.

I'd hardly call this worthless for RG. There's quite a few times where they are the lead block, think about a sweep. Better yet, from the fingers of Bort.

Most are just situation specific, so if your guy finds himself in the situation described by the SA that the natural position might find themselves in, he'll be able to use it.

What is a lead block? Can a pulling guard benefit from the lead block SA or must a lead block come from the back field?
Pulling guard counts as lead block. Any time a player is heading downfield with the RB following him, it's a lead block.

Superior Green Gloves
+1 Aura of Intimidation SA
$25,000
Superior Red Cleats
+2 speed
+1 Pass Block SA
$27,000
Superior Blue Visor
+1 Monster Hit SA
$30,000
Superior White Cleats
+1 Strong Base SA
$25,000
Superior Brown Cleats
+1 vision
+1 Change Direction SA
$21,000

Superior Red Shirt
+1 agility
+1 Quick Cut SA
$21,000
Superior Green Cleats
+1 Big Boot SA
$30,000
These are the best of the choices I've seen so far. A lot of times, it's equip. for the other side of the ball from my toon, so just a waste of a refresh.
Any clarification been made as to set bonuses that were mentioned prior? When they will be put in place? What makes a set...is it 4 pieces of the same color or what?
