Yea HBB is 0-2 against the bugeaters, both from way back in season 2 when we lost to them in the regular season and the Western Conference finals, but we are definately looking forward to another crack at the only team in GLB to beat us multiple times and the only team we havent beaten that we have played. In 3 seasons we have only lost 4 games and half of those were to the bugeaters, another to the Ewoks in the Western Conference finals as well. Both are quality teams and we are very excited to be back in the same league as those guys and have some teams that we actually have to worry about again. Winning is fun, but knowing your going to win everygame with very little effort gets boring through an entire season, it starts to take away from the game so I am very glad we have moved up and will have competetive games again as well as our team owner Notgoingtoargue is Im sure.

Giant Monkeys, Undead, and Knights will struggle to keep game close (unless they're playing each other). The Energy will stay close in some games, but will struggle to win 6. River Rats, Daggers, Steel Riders, and Fury look to be the top 4 in the league, though the Lizard Lickers, Bearphins, Avengers, Fanboys, Badgers, and Villagers will be very competitive and could take one of those spots.
Lizard Lick has played in 2 of the 3 conference championship games for the East and looks to have made significant strides during the offseason with major upgrades at WR, LB, and CB added to an already talented roster. The River Rats have always given us trouble but we have had the better end of just about everybody else in the conference. I'm hoping we finally get over the hump this year and win it all!

I can sympathize with you there paco, HBB went to the western conference finals three years in a row before finally winning and moving onto the championship game and moving up in leagues. It gets frustrating being one step away and having to come back to the league even if you do enjoy the forums and such because everyone wants to prove they are good enough to move up. Since your in the east I can sincerely wish you the best of luck in the act of moving up, but hopefully we will be moving up soon with you as well.

Bearphins went through the same thing. 3 Eastern finals games, and it took all three for us to get one.

To be fair, I think AirMcMVP was basing his comments on the team scouting reports (a dubious, but diplomatic, method of selection), and the four teams he listed as the favorites were (at the time) the only Eastern teams with 48 overall ratings. We're in that group, now, as well (as are the Villagers).
I'm expecting another great season of action in USA A6, but honestly, I don't think there's as much parity in the East as we've had in the past -- certainly not like last season, when we had 5 teams still vying for playoff spots in the last week. You know what the East looks like to me this season? The West.

Very true. I did use the scouting reports, and knew it could change before the first game. The Lizard Lickers are clearly a potential top tier team. No doubt about it. It was just hard to tell early on.

Dude, what happened to the East today? I realize it's just the preseason, but I think the West just delivered a message (along with several beatdowns).

What happened to our offense? We absolutely suck.
I said we'd be top 4? I'm starting to wonder what BBB will be like.

No worries about the East bro. I do not know about the rest of you but, I have not scouted, changed tactics, or really anything for these scrimmage games. (No it is not an excuse for losing today, the Horde are the best team here)
Things will be much different for every team East and West when the season starts and people start scouting and really game planning Just my .02

Yeah, it is hard to judge based on preseason games. I just look at a team like the Fury, who've now been outscored 120-27 in two games, and have to wonder if that's due to a little more than just preseason experimentation.

Bearphins went 0-2 in the preseason last year, then went on the 16-0 in the reg season. That won't happen now, but it just goes to show preseason means nothing

I wouldn't say preseason means nothing. It does if you don't do anything with your team. It is a good time to try out some new things with the advanced ai. If a team finds something that works or needs to work on, it will help during the season. As far as wins and losses though it doesn't mean much.

we went 0-2 last year during the preseason and we were the #1 seed
Hopefully going 2-0 doesn't mean we'll be the 16.
I'm excited and worried about playing HBB again. I really like the team and the owner especially. He helped me quite a bit during our first season.
I'm for sure not excited about our first 2 game...
Also, is anyone going to do a preseason ranking? It'd be kind of fun to argue about who should be the top spot.
