Good read and excellent analysis although I think you have Permian a bit too low and might underestimate a couple of teams potential. We certainly improved but by no means do we think winning this league is a given.

Oh I'm certainly not saying your a given. I pick you because you've got consistency, depth and a two agent team. You'll definitely be up there.
I'm not sure Permian will be any higher then 5th. They have a high leveled squad but I'm skeptical at this point. We'll have to wait with them. They could really surprise us.

They're a bunch of cheating, gutting, dirty bastards - who cares if they win?
I know I'm supporting every other team in the division against them.
Go Demons in game 1!

Its not a given - that's Rotterdam's opinion.
We get Permian in week 2 and we can test if builds and gameplanning can overcome such a level gap.
If the Permian guys can't win in a higher league, what makes them winners now? Its like putting lipstick on a pig. Its like the guys who get a chance at the Majors who can't quite cut it. Its okay though, you guys can come rock the Minor leagues. Give yourselves a pat on the back.

Yourself and Koncorde have hit the nail on the head. Having played the Dauphins during those 4 seasons, they were respectable in the first 2 seasons and were challengers however since season 3 despite outlevelling the majority of teams in WEPL they were constantly being beat. Last season as an example they outlevelled the Monarchs (team I GM) but we absolutely destroyed them.
They have no depth and are awful at gameplanning. I think they will struggle to make the playoffs this season and I also believe at least 9 teams can beat them this season.

See, my support swings it once again.
Slightly concerned that the Whalers and Conchords are CPU owned though

No surprise to not see the London Bridges on this list, but we're building and improving slowly and should scrape an 8-8 record this year.
Wow at the Panthers roster this year though. That's an impressive bit of rebuilding in a short space of time. I take it from the comments above that someone gutted a Pro team and brought them all to Permian? Though they lost their first game, I think they could be a real challenge this year and we're certainly not looking forward to that game.

Precisely, they gutted the Nice Dauphins in WEPL (2-14 record last season) and moved the whole roster to Permian. Congratulations to the Demons by the way for beating the Panthers.

Ah, fair enough. So there's no secret to successful recruiting then. Congrats also to the Demons then.
And also to you SSS, the shootout was great fun (and it made a nice change to be on the right end of the final score too).

That game came at the worst time, we only had one FS and SS and the Strong Safety decided not to sign a new contract so we had no SS for the game and we don't today either.
But regardless, well done and good luck for the rest of the season.

It looks like you might have hit the nail on the head there. The Cheetahs are a good team, but they're certainly not 90 points better.
I didn't notice your shortcomings in the secondary (I was away for the game and so didn't do any scouting). I'm sure you guys will sort it out in the near future and you'll be competitive again very soon.
