Warrior General Games

I don't think we'll go 16-0 (though I wouldn't mind), as it seemed that a lot of teams got their game planning together only after we played them last season (if memory serves, you were unhappy with your defensive AI against us, I think the Titans completely reworked their offense, the Red Bulls. . .well those bastards boosted into something unholy, the Gangsters played us close and seemed to get better as the season wore on), so our success was partially the result of playing you guys early in the season.

Our fundamental approach this season (now that we have a solid financial outlook) is to do better in the playoffs. I don't much care about our regular season record so long as we make the playoffs and learn enough from our losses to stop losing in the @#$@#!!! 2nd round.

It's an interesting question about our QBs. Last season, our starter led the conference in QB rating, but as there are upgrades around the league, I wonder if his relatively low level will cost us. Obviously, I hope not.

your a crafty guy, trying to slip under the radar.....well im pulling you and the Gangsters in the open...Gangsters looks like they will have a crazy defense, im predicating their games will be low scoring.

didn't see that was your QB Gyrui1, lol, didn't mean to put the spotlight on him, but he was the only lower level i saw on your roster that is starting.

It's not so much trying to slip under the radar (after all, after losing one regular season game in two seasons, I gotta figure that other teams know we're there) as my natural, Philadelphia-born pessimism (which, like my my beloved Philly teams, has been borne out in the playoffs).

It's true about my QB. We've thought about upgrading there, but he has performed pretty well so far and so don't know if an upgrade would get us much. . . plus, I kind of got a toon crush on the virtual guy.

No idea what happened to us last year on defense but we are trying to return to our season 3 form. A few additions should help, along with a full year of the new AI under our belt. Oh, and being able to adjust to all the nerfs to CB's will help too. LOL

Your team equates to our Stucknut team in Alpha who finished 6-10 last season............. Just bustin balls trying to get some excitement going this preseason. Forums have been dead to say the least. Where is Stucknut when you need them.

the fact you own more then half of the your own team and are STILL in AA after two season is very sad.....every other team where the owner owns that many players will get promoted within two seasons...you didn't even get out of the second round last season and i doubt you will do much better this season

Why this Alpha Jr. thing again? I haven't looked at the other game, but is it the result of preseason scrimmages? Seriously? Should I really think that we're better than Lost City b/c we beat them in a scrimmage? Or is this a wind-up and I've fallen for it b/c I'm not paying attention to the rest of the thread?

It's mostly that Alpha is better than Zeta. Partially b/c we're 2-0 in League Championship games, partially b/c we perform better in week 16 (which doesn't matter half the time anyway). And mostly because we have a lot of ppl who like to talk shit

I saw a Zeta thread and decided that I needed to shake the hornets nest. Nothing more. Nothing less.

For reasons not worth going in to again, I dispute the whole week 16 thing from last season. That being said, the 2-0 record in Championships does mean something, and so I'd have no problem with the Queensland or Forbidden City guys talking shit. I guess, Snaza/bighook and the Warriors can talk shit in anticipation of this year's championship (we've got the week 16 game to protect us there), as well as the Idols (even though we beat them today, they are a class team and I wouldn't expect the same result in a game that matters).

Now that I think about it, so long as the Stucknut guys stfu until they make the playoffs, I don't mind the trash talking, and since that's an unlikely result, I guess I don't care much.

Thinking a little bit further, the only game we've lost to a current Alpha team were scrimmages last season to the Idols. So trash talk away, as I'll be sitting on the train to NYC today secure in my own little unwarranted bubble of smugness, happy that none of you shitty little Alpha teams worry us at all.
