I don't know why Tucson isn't higher.

To be honest, we'll be hard-pressed to be #2 in the regular season again.

I'm simply not familiar with Tucson, having spent all 3 of my seasons on GLB in the A7 league...we just never played them! Glad to see you all are enjoying the rankings, and that I haven't upset anyone too badly!

We went 14-4 in our maiden voyage in season 2 losing to Austin in round 2.
Dropped to 9-8 in season 3 and again lost to Austin, but this time in the first round.
Recruited our asses off in the last offseason, boosted late, rewrote our playbooks after our last loss, and finished 16-4.

If that trend is any indication, we're due for a down year. Our offensive coordinator is unavailable as of this writing due to major surgery, so we're up in the air as to what we're going to do offensively as of right now. As long as 9-7 would get us in the playoffs with everyone back in place for the stretch run, I'll take it. If our OC gets back before the season starts and we're at 100%, I think we're 3-4 games better than that.

Considering that we only lost to Austin 15-3 with a 9-7 team and they came up here and tore off 14 in a row, I don't think we're very far behind. Our main disadvantage is that we know very little about our competition. Our advantage is that they know just as little about us.

All things considered, I think mcgovern's rankings are fair.

I think the one thing we can agree on mcgovern is that you completely screwed up the relegation teams. KC and New Brunswick so far definitely are shoe ins for the drop to the BBB leagues.

Very good analysis. I appreciate it. Hopefully we can do something to shore up that run defense before the games start to count...

Try a 4-3 Cover 1 Strongside LB Shift Run Stack Focus MLB & LOLB blitz vs. I Formation (any) and you guys should be well on your way...

We knocked 2 undefeated teams out of the playoffs, not to mention, moses. I think that shows how much more we improved at the end of the season. I agree, I love being the underdog though.

BTW, great analysis bro.

yep it's time to start another season. and I'm sure Buffalo and Oakland will have another great game. Just wonder if it will be another shoot out or defensive struggle

I expect this thread will start blowing up with the beginning of scrimmage games today, and then as the season progresses. In the future, can you guys put the team you represent somewhere in your post so we can keep track? Appreciations to skel1977 letting me know he's from oak-town!

Hopefully we'll bring our offense from game 1 and our defense from game 2, w00 w00!

(Not vice versa, that would suck.)
