preseason predictions don't mean much anyway. my last league didn't even have the 2 finalists in the top 5.

Preseason predictions are great fun! They let half the teams say "Aha, we're better than that." And let the other half, say we are that good, its just that *fill in your favorite excuse here, for example the moon was in our QB's eyes.*

I haven't moved out of AA4 so stop throwing dirt on my coffin. Let's play a game of where's JB now.

To be honest, nobody in A7 took either of our teams seriously cyber, which is probably why we're up here in AA #4 about to get murdered while they're down there twiddling their thumbs getting ready for next season. For better or for worse, I'd rather be here than there.

I understand... pyth = runs scored / ( (runs scored)^2 + (runs allowed)^2) )^-1/2...it is supposed to predict the fraction of games you win....so if you multiply pyth by the number of games played, you can see if your team has been lucky or not...At some point a couple years ago, I wrote my own baseball sim (much of the effort going into a smart cpu) that kept track pyth and a number of other relevant stats...

Also, winning or losing in 1 run games is supposed to be a matter of luck...
