Generally the maximum days straight is 14. After that, generally you are required to take 2 days off. There are special circumstances where they extend us to 21 days straight. (while on a severity assignment, not really fire generally)
However recently they have put a huge stress on making sure we get days off so on our regular work schedule we are working 6 days a week generally with 1 day off. It gets sticky though when you have worked some days from your regular week, then get called to a fire so you end up working 20 days straight, but not all 20 on a fire. Thats something they are trying to avoid from what I can tell. Big emphasis on making sure crews are getting adequate rest so they can endure the full season without getting to the point of being worn down.
i should note that other agencies may have different policy when it comes to this and what i am saying isnt necessarily strict policy (except the 14 days straight then two days off, thats about as regular as it gets)..moreso just general practice
