Some chick that lives hundreds of miles away was nice to you at a restaurant. Does it matter if she was that into you or just working you for a tip?

The more she was out of your league, the more of an opportunity missed, though the more likely she was just working you for a tip.

The less she was out of your league, the less of an opportunity missed, so the less it's worth fretting over.

Either way, you did ask her out and she said no.

This, have to ask them out on the spot. If you have not picked up a girl in a situation like that or think JD is gullible for assuming she might be interested it says more about you than it does about him. I've gotten no's or excuses from a waitress before, I've also gotten laid. Leaving a phone number has never worked for me though.
