Good attempt at an insult except that this had never happened to me before. It's the ignoring other tables to stand there and talk that threw me. Seems like you'd be risking lesser tips from other customers.

This is why you never open up on the internet, jd.

Yeah, I'm sure that before these posts everyone on GLB thought I was a real ladies man.

Of course...but I'm sure you didn't go online afterwards asking if you think they really meant it.

Just reading it online seems desperate, and I'm sure the waitress picked up on that (which is why she said no).

ive asked out waitresses, grocery store clerks, bank tellers and even random chicks in parking lots. sometimes they actually say yes. ive even gone out with strippers, i met at the club. thats rare thou.

my best was this chick i parked next to at the bank. we locked eyes as soon as i pulled up, so as i walked into the bank i made it a point to wait for her so i could hold the door open for her. we shared a smile and that was that. when i was leaving i left her a note and gave her my number. she actually texted me that she would have loved to go out with me, but she has a boyfriend. she said my note made her day thou

that isn't what anyone is saying. bolick is so full of himself he can't tell the difference between being worked for a tip because the waitress nailed him as an easy mark, and having a women actually be interested in him.

This is an intervention, jd. Lately you've been acting like a pussy. I miss the fire breathing, kill anything that moves beast that used to systematically break people down and reduce them to a pile of sobbing mush. WTF man? Take a salt tablet, get mean, and get back out there and destroy posters.

Try some of the sub-forums. Homage has some bruises he could direct you to.

General rule of thumb is if you feel somebody is out of your league, but being unexpectedly nice to you, you are getting worked.

That said, no harm in throwing your hat in.

But don't put too much more thought into it.

I've never heard "no". I guess it's because all the decent to hot chicks ask me out before I get a chance to ask them out.

Of course, but she wasn't. I'd just never had an experience like that while eating. Sometimes you vibe with someone at the places foshizzel17 mentioned, but at a restaurant you can't assume sincerity because of the tip. I just think I made a mistake by giving my digits instead of asking for hers.

Some guy gave my girlfriend's best friend his phone number. She wasn't interested in him and said he was a creepy bastard. I called the guy and told him I was her husband and went all apeshit on him. Was funny as hell. Too bad he hung up on me before I was able to complete my troll.

If she wasn't out of your league, being this awestruck over her is silly.

I always thought slipping a girl your phone number was stupid anyway. Just pull out your dick and gauge her reaction. If she reaches out and gives it a few tugs you know she's interested. If she shrieks and starts dialing the police, there's a 50/50 chance she's not.

Usually not a fan of the shotgun approach, but you managed to get a chuckle for once.
