What is the “food pyramid” product? It was a nutritional guideline. Is it outdated now? Yes. Was it at the time? Probably not. Humanity as a whole has started gaining more knowledge on the subject, yet we still struggle with obesity as a nation. Even with weight loss drugs readily available. My wife is a bariatric dietitian and sees it every day. The “food pyramid” is the least of the issues

No. Just no. The food pyramid was a *blatant* payoff to General Mills and a host of other big-food players. It was terrible, and it ruined a lot of people's health.
