I highly doubt they are losing money. Or would even be at reduced costs. If a person can put 80k in their pocket for a short time or 50k in their pocket for a much longer time, odds are they take the 80k.

And in the end, as is the game is dying. One or two top agents leave and it could be the end. But hey pinch every penny you can from that small group while you can right? And why bother advertising to bring in new agents if that just causes you to lose money

All I know is I create very few players anymore. Mostly because I couldn’t afford to build a whole team myself. For sure can’t now. It’s gets old creating a couple guys for someone and they just get dumped or not used. Then you are left with a player who likely never gets picked up or does by a non competitive team. So I spend my meager budget on other things. As do many others(like the thousands who joined then left within weeks lol

If they cut the cost of the game by 75% what would be the incentive for them to leave the doors open? If a player costs say $1.00 and cost them $.85 what would be the point of them charging $.25?

Except your talking a 25% decrease not 75. Most teams only carry 36 players. And it don’t cost by the player for them, it costs by the game. So if money so damn tight they can’t make it affordable for more people then maybe they should dump those costly cpu leagues and teams as they don’t make anything from them at all. Don’t bother filling out leagues with CPU teams as they can just give a forfeit win in its place. I mean for Christ sakes we are trying to pinch every penny are we not?

I think I remember corndog saying hosting the players themselves cost money too. There could maybe be ways for them to clean things up a bit to be more efficient but I'm no expert on that. I posted this earlier.

This is at a big discount and not even including the initial cost of the players.

Owning a team is a natural progression for agents. It's in a minority the number of people that stumble across this site and decide to throw money into owning a team without being an agent for a couple of seasons first. You guys are too focused on the team ownership experience. You want the game to grow to make it easier for team owners? You have to enhance and stabilize the agent experience first.

You are talking without pads running. But Telvin Smith definitely has a fit running with the faster WR's and HB's in the game. One of their weaknesses.

They switch off in coverage on the TE. But generally yes it will be Jack.

As far as the game goes I would guess their incentive is to just keep the doors open while they work on their newest games. Keep us spending money while they pay to work on the next project. Which makes total sense. Their newest game has to hit the ground in the next year or so here. Corndog anointed it a working game in October so its gotta be getting close.

I don't think they are losing money with this game, but I don't think they are crushing it either. Probably making just enough to keep the lights on. I would assume if they were that hard up that GLB1 and Brawlers would be shut down first with this not long after.

This is exactly where I am coming from. To slash prices from 60-80% they would be losing money. I can't see them slashing prices to the point where they are in the red.

What I meant here is slashing prices to where they are losing money to triple the user base is insane. Triple the users would be triple the losses.

Not exactly. I believe their overhead would stay nearly the same so triple users at a lower price would make for a higher profit.
problem is I don't think slashing prices is going to triple the users.

No, triple the user base would mean a significant increase in server cost.

No, just a lot more Bort Signals.

Hell he'd probably look like one of those 1950's switchboard operators fixing all the hung games.

I agree with this. This game is relatively cheap for an agent compared to other games, even your first player is free. The main issue is lack of engagement for agents. The HOF(basically GLB's leaderboard) is outdated, stats are minimal, and there's just not a whole lot to do for them to do. For team owners it's the opposite, this game is very engaging for them, but the lack of agents makes the cost of running a team go up, and causes holes when they go inactive or dropout.

Hell...it is free for an agent. They even give you a free pick up to gain S* points.

How is rushing for everyone so far? I've not seen much improvement personally.
