Thanks for the memories of that championship

That is just proof that a team cannot simply spam the play in question...I tried, and it failed. It can be used in addition to an offense, but not as the sole offensive weapon.

The QB Rollout Strong play is the equalizer to passing teams imo, it offers the big play possibility, with the risks of a negative play (sack/tfl)

Yep those damn pass teams averaging 6.5 yards an attempt not including sack yardage. So unrealistic. I mean passers should average like 2 YPA.

My stupid cow defense just held Lincoln City to 4.3 ypa even though I was running about as bad an offense, and hence giving the ball back quick, as I can think of. It held Lakewood to 3.9 ypa in their game with Tampa the other day.

Personally, I think it's way more OP than anything anyone can do on offense. 'Course, there is one huge caveat to said defense...

Of course. However if you are a good scout you can easily pick the right situations for that cow defense

Which is why Tampa won 83-0, and I felt kinda guilty about it

Lol whatever you are trying to say about ypa is coming off really idiotic.

Lets do it over a full season though so all the games have been played equally and even in your example there, that's in line with the top nfl passers. Where as your ypc would be one of the best in the NFL for a qb. Where those qbs don't solely run and are dual threats.

Also as I've said before your ypc take into account TFL but YPA don't take into account sacks, even though sacks are really negative attempts as you were trying to pass you just failed to throw.

It's called sarcasm. The arguement has been that a 6.5 YPA is too good where as in the NFL under 7 would put you in the bottom half of YPA

That's ridiculous by any standard.

I see the sarcasm, but why are you entertaining those foolish arguments?

The sim is in a good spot, the only problem right now are small inequalities on both sides of the ball,
The pass is as "easy" to stop as it has ever been. And it's quite obvious if you build to stop the run, and your DC is slick, you can stop the run.

when the inequalities are settled and both sides of the ball are eqaul, I think the sim should run great for a while, and all tht will need attention are bugs.

My HB Laertes had 24.5 YPC against a CPU team to start the season. Makes me wonder what happened to the other two halfbacks who were only at 11.6 and 14.3.

(that game is also why Yorick's current season stats are going to be complete nonsense...and we get to do it again to end the season)

I agree with you, I've been saying that it doesn't need as much work as others are saying, the qb roll out only needs a small tweak, one of which I don't seem to be able to come up with a solution. As of right now I'm happy with the sim and enjoy the game and the challenge of trying to stop it.

Your CPU stats are irrelevant to the equation. A CPU team is not putting any sort of plan in place for specific plays.
