At the time we won with Big Heart, it was nerfed to end when within 7. This was a preseason nerf, when everyone, including HULK, was telling Bort to drop it to 1% instead of 2%.
It was after the season ended that it got nerfed further.
The beauty of Big Heart was that it let you build your entire plan around it, both offensive and defensive. Following the Season 8 slam, Csonka was still a force running inside. At the time, MEM had Cooter and ED Jackson running very well outside. I knew if we didn't contain Csonka, MEM could destroy us with 4ypc runs all day long. So I committed everything we had to stopping Csonka and left the outside open.
I hoped our guys outside could make a play, but if they didn't I knew a few long scores would let Big Heart kick in and keep it close. We held Csonka to 3 ypc on 22 rushes, but the speedsters outside torched us for 360 yards rushing combined.
The other beauty of Big Heart, was that having seen builds for top players in Season 9, I knew there were still many out there that had put everything they had in Speed/Agility and neglected confidence. Whereas every player on ***O*** had soft capped confidence minimum. We had enough confidence to withstand the moral spiral, and they had no confidence to avoid it.
The best part was only two players on the team had Big Heart, the starting QB and Blazing. When we first got down 14, a defensive TD closed the gap and negated it (Big Heart had no part in that).
But we did get two early 4th quarter TDs, with only the second thanks to Big Heart (the first was the backup QB throwing to the backup HB for an 80 yard pass). That closed the gap to 7 and eliminated Big Heart, but by then the entire MEM team was in a moral spiral.
We were able to tie the game on this play with no Big Heart

MEM drove downfield, but this play forced them to settle for 3

***O*** passed their way downfield for their own FG with under 2min to play, again with no Big Heart, then won the coin flip and ended it on OT.
Point being:
1. I was a GLB Genius in Season 9 (now...not so much)
2. Big Heart in Season 9 is about similar to the Screen in Season 11, but in both cases it took more than the VA to win the game.
why waste your time writing this pointless circle jerking cobra kai esque shit when you wont win
