cuz i fucked up my QBs VA, hard count doesnt work at all. and would like to try the new QB ones if they are installed.

How about a break block VA? I think that is nessecary and fair considering the way O-lines have performed this season

I started a thread on it in the suggestions forum, and it got a lot of love, but it got locked and "referred" to this thread... I post it here, and nada...

Essentially, with a VA for true power backs to break tackles, and one for true elusive backs to break tackles, there's nothing for HB's that toe the middle ground, outside of pumping up attribute based VA's...

There should be a VA (call it Break or Shake), that gives backs a % increase to breaking tackles when running in between 25% power and 25% elusive on the slider.

You know, the HB's that are fast, strong, agile, and have BOTH SA tree's in use.

I may have just overlooked it. I definitely agree that there needs to be a combo VA, though. It shouldn't be as big as a bonus as the elusive or power backs, in my opinion, because combo backs are simply "utility" guys and don't do a whole lot of flashy moves, nor do they truck too many defenders. Or should it be higher?

I think there should be another VA for combo backs other than a break tackle chance increase.

Of course, I can't post "stats" of speed backs juking out defenders, and too lazy to get replays, but if you take the two sides

Power Backs > Combo backs in breaking tackles
Speed/Elusive Backs > Combo backs in out-maneuvering defenders

Combo backs have their place in a balanced offense, no doubt. Not sure what type of bonuses they should get though. A bonus to "breaking tackles" won't really have too much of an effect. Let's take your Cooter Splitter. 305 Carries, 46 broken tackles. Breaks about 15% of them. Let's say that translates directly into a 15% chance to break a tackle. Bump your VA to 15 in the combo back VA. Make each level worth 2%. 30% increase. .3 x .15 = .045. Add 4.5% to your 15% initially, and you're looking at 19.5% chance to break tackles with your combo back after investing 15 points into the SA. If each level is 3%, you get a 45% boost (6.75%). Now, you get a 21.75% chance.

You see where I'm coming from, though? Breaking tackles isn't a combo back's "thing". He's more of a balanced player, useful in the passing game and rushing game, inside/outside, he's solid at all, excels at none. We need something that capitalizes on that?

Maybe a boost to break tackle %, catching %, and something else? +2%/level?

I still don't think this one has to get any more creative than the ones in place for Power and Elusive backs now...

A +% to breaking tackles when playing in between 25 power, and 25 elusive...

Would give a boost to whichever SA's you have picked to put your points into...

I suppose. I can add that, but personally I wouldn't select it if I had a combo back. Which I guess some would, making it a great choice to add. Some like it, some don't, creating differences amongst combo backs.

The point of resetting the VA's has been made repeatedly in this thread - I simply put the idea here and elsewhere, so they can filter the posts to one direction and out of the way of helpful discussion. If you look at the title of YOUR thread it is "Veteran Abilities Suggestion Thread." I made a suggestion concerning Veteran Abilities. Reading Comprehension IMO

We're suggesting a reset ONLY if more than 5 VAs are created and added. Anything less than that and it's commonly accepted that a reset isn't necessary. YOUR suggestion is that people fucked up so they should be able to reset. "Second Chance" = I messed up the first time, give me another shot. No. You already had your second chance The reason I'm testy about this is that when one or two people suggest a flat out reset, the conversation usually turns into an argument and flame war, which derails a thread completely.

No way I'm going to let this turn into a flame war, or off topic discussion. Somebody suggested a reset if PLENTY of these were implemented. That's how the conversation got onto that topic. Very relevant, not promoting/repeating another thread, and something pertaining directly to this:
