why should they think their experience wasn't typical?
If I go somewhere and get shitty food or service, etc, I don't say 'well, my steak was overlooked and the waitress took 20 minutes to bring me my beer in a half full restaurant, but it's probably just me. I'm sure they're not always like this'

I think that's a decent review, to be honest. I do find it distasteful when people say "I've had better at..." or something similar like that. It's ok to say a joint is similar to another one, but to say shit like, "For REAL Italian food, go to ..... instead." Just my opinion, but that sounds distasteful and biased.

Anyways, I think the rest of you review is solid. It tells me exactly the things I want to know.

I'm talking about reviews that give a place 1 out of 5 stars and all they say is shit like:

"I asked the server for an extra napkin and he gave me a bar napkin! Omg! Awful! Plus, there was a really annoying couple sitting by us."

And, nothing about anything else.

that I understand.
I was responding more to this statement:

especially considering that the venue I gave that review to has a lot of great reviews, but that wasn't my experience

I hear you on the 'I've had better at...' line, but I included that one to hammer the point that this was a local steakhouse, specializing in beef, but I've had better beef at large impersonal national chains which specialize in nothing

I'm trying to understand myself. lol. I guess what I mean is that you reviewed the atmosphere, food, service, etc. It's obvious that you put thought into your experience. Some people just don't seem to. They just don't seem reasonable.

Finally got to see my first MLL game in person.

Lemme tell yall something. Lacrosse has the hottest female fans of any sport, and its not even close. Though that does attract a ton of douchebros chasing them.

A lot of lacrosse players tend to be huge DBags (I played lacrosse all the way through college). Still game is a lot of fun.

Major dbags. Upper middle class kids (shit is expensive) tend to be the ones playing it the most, then they have people fawn on them for it.

That said, the Denver Outlaws' goalie is a pretty chill dude. Actually talked to fans in person, signed a few autographs and stuff

I went 2 years ago to the July 4th game. Was pretty fun. Don't remember much of the game or the fans lol. I hear Mammoth games are more fun though. Never have been

Yeah Outlaw games are to Mammoth games what normal soccer games are to indoor soccer. Much more fast paced, more scoring, more checking and hits etc. Now I just gotta wait for the Mammoth season to start up again all the way in fking December.

Oh well at least the Outlaws are going till August

Deep thoughts with people that can't spell worth a damn.

Texting to my dad about health issues, medicine, and such. He says in an uplifting tone..."Never know what life might be tomarow u know".

On one hand, touching words from somebody recovering from cancer, on the other hand...how can you take something with "tomarow" in it serious?

Someone burglarized a school here today and they said among other things, office supplies and "possibly" a refrigerator were taken.

Possibly? What, someone lost track of a fridge and cant tell if it was stolen or just misplaced?
