I would certainly do what I could. I am probably on this site more hours than anyone than you and I may even surpass that on a given day.

The only thing I would expect in return is to allow the personality of certain forums to develop naturally. No one is less enamored of the Drama Club shtick than I but at the end of the day it's harmless. I only speak to this because the SA forums have been my home and I know them. The same can be said about the personalities of other forums I am sure.

This brouhaha started because of trying to fit a square peg in a round hole, and I would not be willing to do that. It's up to you.



Forget about making this guy a Mod....make him an ADMIN!

Misunderstandings, emotions, general forum lockdown mode. I know Jed posted in here about "longer bans" or something of the sort earlier today.

I think the bold text above is very telling.

Bort, all due respect but they aren't posters. This isn't a message board. They are your core consumers who through your GAME design post as a necessity of said game.

Think about it.

I know you will claim everyone is responsible for his/her own post content. True. But so to is the content of your management. I sincerely believe you are seeing the negative affects and will continue to reflect on this situation and hopefully gain game integrity back. In fact, that is all you should be focused on for quiet sometime.

Just pin a global apology on behalf of your employees and move on.

Just my thoughts...

I am a huge supporter of Satch. After I found out what happened I too was ready to give this game up. If you see my team and how well we are doing you would call me crazy.

Well, I would be crazy to stay if that is the way the game was going to be run.

I am going to give Bort credit, he did what is right. Was it easy? No. Remember at the end of the day the buck stops with Bort. He acted and the situation was resolved.

I think if you asked Bort it's much easier to manage the code and engine then the community. A community in the hundreds of thousands mind you.

Some times change comes later than we want it too. Lets not lose sight that it did just because it came later than we wanted it too.
