nm answered my own question. it does in fact fire in zone defense.

You say this like it's a bad thing.

Those are actually right in the NFL recent historical range of about 3-4% of passes

My superstar through 7 pick up games has thrown 14 interceptions. 100 heart apparently just makes you braver.

I guess what's annoying about intercepting is when you work 75 plus and teams with half that investment ninja balls out of the air like they are Deon Sanders on roids and go into super Saiyan mode.

just having 75 intercepting stat doesn't get you interceptions. the players physical abilities put them in the position to make the interception and the intercepting stat just increases the odds on the dice roll for the catch similar to CIT for WRs.

Yep, you need vertical, awareness, and prob quick to break on ball too... a lot factors into getting a Int

This x1000

All my Vader LB builds have always had 30 int, although they get +15 with EOTP. He had 18 last season.

I'm not saying this is wrong because both types of builds could work, but I noticed a very pronounced increase in INTs simply by raising the INT skill. High Awareness and High INT do seem to have the effect you'd imagine.

LBs might be more in the Physical build side to get into position, but CBs are naturally pretty close.

make a CB with 20 fw, 20 sprint, 20 quickness, and 100 INT and i will make a CB with 70 fw, 70 sprint, 70 quickness and 20 INT and we will see who gets more INTs lol

here's the thing... upon first glance that looks ok BUT if you break down the %s against CPU teams vs good pass defenses the difference is staggering. I'd say against CPU teams it's like 1-2%, but against good humans it's probably closer to 10% which is absurdly high. Sure it averages out correctly, but the differences are just way too much between good and bad. We'll have a 10 TD, 0 INT game against CPU, 2 or 3 TD game, 4 or 5 INTs against a good human).

The difference in completions % is astronomical too (usually like 30-40% comp % agaist good teams, 60-75% against bad CPU teams). The only reason these numbers look ok ON AVERAGE is because the top teams are putting up INSANE numbers against CPU.

today #1 tier J-Man vs us (usually top 2 or 3 in-tier for Pro, arguably the best QB in pro) - 9 INT game between the two teams, and they weren't all thrown in double coverage, a lot of 1v1 INTs. https://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/game/560206

passing is as bad as it ever has been on this game
