I would like a more realistic approach, a system that allowed every skill to reach a decent level, and players be able to choose the skills they want very high, but not being abble to get it all.
For you to be a pro player in real football, you need to have a decent level on all "skills", what i mean is, even a player that specializes in pass defense on the NFL has something like "70 tackling". Another thing is, a LB will never be as fast as a WR, a CB with less then 80 speed would be useless unless played zone only.
But this would need some major planning and time investment, and maybe i'm overthinking and its not necessary/good for GLB2.
Don’t agree with all of this. Their are NFL LBs who can run with many NFL WRs. Telvin Smith comes to mind. Von Miller ran a 4.9 forty. I beleive most WRs run in the 4.5 tO 5.5 range. And most LBs run 4.5 to 4.y range honestly. Thumper style LBs run 4.7s and would never be asked to run with a WR or even a TE in real life. Nimbleness is the biggest difference for the bulk of No players at all positions honestly. Lineman and DTs are about the only ones on the field outclassed by pure speed. And even some of those guys run 4.8s.
