Scrimmed 6 times this morning, for the most part all the same defense. I think I subbed out a couple plays after the first one.

Bronx x 2 - Lost Both
Logzilla x 2 - Lost Both
DA x 2 - Won Both

Overall:

Attempts: 383
Completion % - 61% (About 30-35 completions were Screen Passes, so closer to 57% on normal passes)
Deflections: 50
Interceptions: 9
Forced Fumbles: 14
Fumbles Recovered: 7
Sacks: 9
Passing TDs Allowed: 17
Knocked Loose: 12

As far as the changes go, completing passes against a Zone Pass Coverage in the Red Zone is much harder. It seems to be much easier to complete deep passes now. With the new changes the CBs turn around slower allowing more long catches. I think that Zone is definitely viable and with an equal offense can do just as well as a good Man defense. Overall I'm very happy with the changes.

The turnovers are what could make a zone defense lethal as long as a quality offensive attack exists. 16 turnovers in 6 scrims is pretty solid.

These changes seem pretty spot on to me. Passing and running are a lot closer to balanced now. Sounds like Man vs Zone is there too or getting close to even.

Great job guys! I definitely appreciate the effort to make the game better.

Nice Zone numbers.

3% INT rate against LogZilla, Bronx and DA is nothing to sneeze at. 16 overall turnovers or 2.66 a game is solid. The 17-9 TD-INT ratio is really good.

Now that your seeing better positioning, scheming, etc. from the game engine, what would you do differently build wise to improve things more?

Coverage Tech is a must, really screwed the builds this season by not putting anything in it. Really wish I would have been around during the 3 days of the off season to test so I could have respec'd. That's what I see off the top of my head, offensively we still suck. I'm hoping once Chem starts recovering that I can actually score. These TOs don't mean much when I just go 3 and out.

EDIT: Also, Zone Shark is hard to justify. All that +15 Power Tackling, Strip Tech means nothing when it comes to KLs. You get way more from just trailing the WR and hitting him at full speed. No PT/ST needed.

Let's just say I now have 15/15 plays in my outside run playbook now.

Zone Shark is good to take to silver but not gold. Activation % stays at 30%. The good thing about zone shark is the morale hit and buff.

Yea on the rare occasion that it does fire(and gets a KL) it's great, but you can get a lot more bang for your buck with out it IMO. If I had to do it over I would have Gold EOTP, Gold Monster Hit, and Silver 3DS.

Check out this sweet pic from a deep zone CB.

All my zone coverage defenders are golding EOPT and Monster Hit, but silvering zone shark. 3DS just doesn't fire very often. You are talking about only on 3rd down + 35% activation chance. You are looking at ~(10% to 15%) of plays having it fire.

Have you thought about silver First Step? I think for my zone specialist LB I was planning gold EOTP/MH and silver FS.

I'm glad for all the changes, it making the game seem really balanced in all areas for the first time since I've started playing.

That being said, someone sign a OG to my team, please. LOL.

NOt a bad option, I put Silver FS on both my FS and SS and it helps when it fires.

FS would be a good one too. But I am building my defense around hard hitting, demoralization and turnovers.

Changed some plays around and went with a lot of 4 DL looks to get the ball thrown faster. This definitely isn't the norm, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a few 5+ TO games this season. My offense still sucks.
