I mean its not bad, I just know alot less about it. Like I dont know how much flex I get back at the end of a dots life. I assume its less than GLB1 so they can still make money with cheaper dot cost and smaller roster sizes.

It seems like the dots building isnt the priority, it is the team building that important. Its all about how you built your team and how you are using them. Styles make games.

I jsut wish there were more GLB guys from my network here. I more miss the people and the forums than I do any aspect of the game itself

I had a whole team rookie through vet -- with all boosts etc. I got like 24000 back when I retired them

I don't use the Career Boosts unless I'm sure I'm keeping that player alive longer. (2 each for an extra season)

The SP boosts are what's useful, also getting all of them gives you an extra season at Vet.

The AP boosts are basically just 3 extra AP points. Kinda a rip-off but some builds will hing on getting an extra SA to Gold or Silver level

Skill point boosts: extra skill points + give you an extra free season when you do them all -- MUST DO

SA boost: special ability boosts - generally must have's for most plays but too expensive -don't have to worry about this until seasoned or something

Career boost: add on extra seasons at Vet level. way too expensive imo. no need to mess with them until after your first vet level

If you boost in the middle of the season...instead of at the beginning of the season -- you "screw yourself" because you played 15 games with fewer skill points than you could have had - that's the only thing.

Same with if you don't apply SP. There is no advantage to sitting on it..none.

So you can play games with 15 in a skill - or with several skills at 25. Makes a pretty big difference in performance - like playing with 1 hand tied behind your back

No advantage? It is called a sneak attack or ambush on whomever you are playing on game 16!

SP boosts certainly have less impact as your dot ages, at rookie they represent a large % of your available points, but as your dot reaches higher tiers the SP boosts represent less % each season. Not to say boosting isnt important all the way through, just unboosted rookies are the most effected by the lack of points to distribute.

Tons of information available in the forums here although some obviously outdated stuff. If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask as many agents are more than willing to help. Also, I would definitely say owning a team is awesome although I spent about 6 or 7 seasons just making players before making the jump. Proper networking and planning are important as well as knowing your player builds and gameplanning/play calling unless you intend to hire and OC/DC then refer to the networking part.

I find the most important aspect of ownership, or even being a GM and building good teams, is networking and developing a group of agents you can get along with, who are dependable, and with whom you are on the same page with building dots.

There are only two "deadlines" when it comes to boosts.

A player's career is limited to 1 season at veteran (30 games). Each SP boost gives extra games. Using all your SP boosts earns a second full season (30 additional games). You can also use career boosts to extend your career. Each career boost adds 15 games.

Once you've played all available games at Veteran, your player becomes a Legend. If you don't use your SP boosts or Career boosts by the appropriate time, your player becomes Legend and there's nothing you can do about it.
