Now that I look at it, here's a TD he had last season. The turn itself is pretty slow, but the sprinting and quickness made him accelerate out of it quickly.

Something new to think about.

Route Technique skill is something you should also consider.

I keep hearing that, but he doesn't have a problem getting open at all. He has problems catching the ball in traffic ... and just catching it in general ... LOL!

The description of the skill is that it helps reduce the slowdown from making cuts. You probably have more difficulty making sharp cuts during your route than you do at any other time. The sharper the cut in the route, the more speed you will lose if that skill is low.

There is a slight blip on extremely sharp cuts, but the Quickness makes up for it. He explodes out of his cuts and usually gets some separation.

Just to add to that, he was made for Go Routes primarily. If I wanted to build Jerry Rice, he wouldn't have 100 sprinting.

Doesn't look bad today. Definitely nowhere near the ridiculousness that it was last night when I was dropping 70 points on teams throwing hail mary's.

I feel like there were other changes made as well - will those tweaks be announced?

As one example - I feel like run block awareness might have been nerfed a bit....now I would admit that it probably needed an adjustment...but just curious

Running inside has felt harder lately. Though I attribute that to all those skill points and AP's journeymen just got.

A lot of teams are running 5-2-man cover type plays in situations where teams are likely to run up the gut.

I've had a lot better success running up the gut out of 1st down and 3rd and long than I have with those "and short" plays where they know it is coming.
