Started in April 2008, so roughly 57 months. That's $26/ month based on your $1500 estimate. I'm fine with that. Spending an additional $1500 for a trophy is bananas...but over a 4+ year period, I feel this is money well spent for entertainment and a spirit of competition.
However, I have seen many people spend a shit ton of cash on this game and it yields no results. So does $=Trophies, nope and Pwned knows that.

Completely depends on when you purchased the flex. If you bought the bulk of it in 2008 during the Black Friday sale then it's a pretty wise use of disposable income. Buying a sizable portion of flex in the past 18-24 months is pretty lulzy considering the state of this game.

I purchased a large amount during the 2008 Black Friday sale. At one point, I had a Pew Wee team, a casual team and the Panthers. I've scaled way back. I did have to recently purchase some to get me thru this season. Once this season is over and I retire a number of my old timers, I should be back in the black.

I really don't care that you spent money on this game, I have to. While not quite as much, I've blown my money in many other areas. Fishing and Softball, mostly.. I do think if I had the cash spent on this game to have a full roster of my own players, I'd surely have won a few titles, but that's not exactly happened..

Hence my comment about getting the games going. Not much to do at this point but blah, blah. I bit out of boredom. Flaming, etc is not my thing. I'd rather discuss other stuff but hey, it's cool for now.
It's also the challenge of winning the titles as one agent team, that makes this fun. When I win Gold, I may retire, reset and go find work on another hobby. I have very few of them since I am tied to a CPU, every waking hour.
