Actually the Great Lakes Rum Runners were named the way were for a few reasons. First of they are a feeder team for the Putnam Co. Keg Tossers of USA AA4. When naming the PCKT the alternate location that was discussed and was a very very close second in voting was the Great Lakes. The Rum Runners came from before we gutted the team and made it slow built...It was voted on by the members at the time and since people knew we were a future farm team for the Keg Tossers the Rum Runners became a logical name for us...but the Chicago and Prohibition is a very insightful guess...SMART GUY OVER THERE
