Round 8

Blood Ravens - Tranmere
(Blood Ravens has surprised alot so far, holding 3rd. Tranmere has dissapointed alot and atm is last of the playoff contenders. Tranmere should be the better team, and must win to still be in the playoff fight. Yet Blood ravens beat teams that in return beat Tranmere. Which is why Blood Ravens is the favourite and my guess to win.)

Please choose the opposition against us for the rest of the season, we play terrible when we are rated! Only seem to do anything when we are underdogs.

Good job dude... You guys have a stout defense. Hope to get another crack at you guys down the road. But we gotta make it into the playoffs first!

Well played Arrakis, you made it really tough. This:

Round 8 results:

Not many interesting games in alpha this round.
Perkis and Belfast had a close game as predicted, with Perkis taking the win, still being undefeated and leading Alpha.
Sweden has fallen completly through, as they stood no chance against Southriding, which i thought would be a close match.
Which means Sweden is now hanging behind the rest of the playoffs candidates.

Zeta:

Kilkenny managed to win over Drunken in a very tough and close game as predicted.
Ironically a loss means Drunken still are leading Zeta, while a win for Kilkenny sent them from 8th to...... 9th.

There was lots of points between London and Nola, yet London dominated the game and won quite convincingly for once, taking them up to second.

Tranmere is still in the playoff fight, after not having to much trouble stopping Blood Ravens.

Buffalo is also back in the top at 3rd, after defeating Vatican, even though thye needed a hell of a 4th quarter to pull it off.

Munich, Rome, Vienna and Walthamstow won as expected.

Thanks, I actually thought we might pull this one out for a while! Seems like most of our games are close for a while until we finally get put away. Maybe with another offseason of work we can get where we need to be.

Great game to you guys too, tough team. Your going for it on fourth down and getting it a couple times really hurt, where we missed one in the same situation.

Yeah, let's look at that again, shall we?

A 5-3 record is NINTH PLACE! When no teams in the conference have better than a 6-2!

There appears to be two levels of teams in Zeta this season.

The larger level will probably stratify more before we're done, but this season has been a contest of a lot of teams all right about the same capability.

It is a LOT more fun when every game is tight and hard fought.
