Sonia Sotomayor is ignorant of the Constitution or chooses to ignore it completely. Those who wonder aloud what's wrong with letting Obama or the next liberal President appoint another Supreme Court justice need only look to the words of that ignorant bitch for Exhibit A on the matter.

Yeah, that's what happens when an activist gets appointed instead of a legal scholar. I don't often agree with Kagan's interpretations but I respect her. Sotomayor is an idiot, unfortunately.

My criminal background check came back clean... I wonder if that means that I will or will not be accepted into the law society?

You'll be fine within the legal community--the lack of a criminal background would only hold you back were you to go into academia.

Goodwill is the shit. I'd been holding off buying a full suit cuz I'm broke as hell, went to a fancy banquet and figured mismatched blazer is better than none. I found one that entirely matched everything else I was already wearing for $9.99. Beers at the banquet were $3 less than the blazer. Shit looks good too

I went to Goodwill for the first time a couple weeks ago. Picked up two decent looking shirts and a whole shit ton of paper back books and VHS tapes to take to work for patients. The books for .50 each so I was able to buy as many as I could carry and the total bill was still under $30.

That had previously been the only type of thing I bought there, older games/movies, occasionally curios or cool looking stuff. I never looked at the clothes because I figured they'd be ratty or stuff no one would wear but this looked like a 1-2 year old styled blazer.

Good on you for buying stuff like that. FWIW, VCRs are plentiful and cheap as all hell too. Were they smaller ones or like the Harry Potter paperback ones? My school's library has a weak fiction or non-school section and I want some new stuff to read

Oh holy shit. It's Lanificio. This blazer is expensive as hell. I looked up one extremely similar to mine, it's listed at 149 euro. This thing was almost $200 new.

I FUCKING LOVE YOU GOODWILL

Both. Actually got the first 3 Harry Potter books. Got a good mix of stuff, Da Vinci Code, a couple Michael Crichton, some mysteries, some romance stuff, and a couple classics like Call of the Wild and Phantom of the Opera.

I make a nice 2nd income in part because of Goodwill, it's like having a fun hobby that also pays well.

I don't know that I like the idea of re-selling Goodwill stuff. The entire point is supposed to be providing low income people with goods they couldn't afford at regular price. In any case, I got most of the furniture for my apartment from one.

I've been wearing my coat in the office all day because it is freezing.

...also might be related to the fact that I got no sleep and closed down two different bars on a week night.

I'm providing a low-income person with more income, and I don't even come close to taking a small fraction of what my local stores receive.
