i think that its jacked up because Gridiron Gang is ranked #9. and the fact that they have face 3 out of the top 5 teams in vet. in the ladder.... i understand see they lost to kentucky. but they have a 20-8 record. they should at least be 5 or sixth

why? Rebels are#1 but we have faced vet # 2, 3, 5, 7. and i know there are others. all of us have faced a ton of top 10 vet teams. its part of our tier being so good and there not being a lot of vet teams this year. it sucks but part of it.
looking at your record. you lost to the vet teams like we all did. but you lost to kentucky twice. comi conz once. my team by a large margin, GE team by a large margin, and both of the kentucky games were by big margins. you have one a good amount of games but your loses are all big loses. they are do factor in how big of a loss you take compared to losing at a last second field goal.

You need to accentuate the 'when' in this statement or it loses all meaning. GE is saying the timing of losses are important due to momentum buildups in your placement in the ranks. early losses hurt more than late. Also wins against top teams meaan nothing if they happened when the team was not highly ranked yet, so early wins against good team don't count for as much, conversely losses to good teams early hurts more than it should - as they are ranked lower than they should be.

i would think late losses hurt more than early. I have seen plenty teams hold face all season long, but losses at the end brought down they're ranking. Early rankings aren't necessarily the most reliable. Mid season rankings is when you really start to sweat it out and shoot for the top spots
For example: with the Denver Yellowjackets, a lot of our top ladder finishes came from the last game or two, which is really when the competition is really serious because it can make our break your chances of finishing as a top team.

Really all depends, late losses usually don't hurt as much due to the good teams being higher ranked so the loss counts for less - but if a team is coming on strong at the end and lower ranked than they should - a loss to them can be devastating. Of course everything can come down to the wire, but that doesn't make the impact larger just seem so due to situation.

That year ComiConz Won #1 Ladder, I only started game planning the last third of the season. We went from outside top 10 and finished #1. The early losses didn't matter much. Season 29

GG GE. cant believe we kept it close with 7 fumbles
that punt return for a TD was sick.
..broke a pile of tackles and was the difference in the game. Kinda pissed off we didn't go for it 4th and 1 in field goal range with 3 and some change left in the game....instead we punt it back to you

Not impossible. We are both 23-6. You could lose the ship or last ladder game and Academy could get #1.
