Well, I mean, we could never make a change to the sim if it wasn't allowed to impact the current veterans negatively. It's a shame, but that's the way it is with the format of the game.

you could provide a seasons SP worth of respec for free after a season with major changes so the impact could be smaller

It's an understandable but disappointing reaction folks are having to the changes.

We piss and moan about "fixing the sim" or leveling out this stat or that stat and then rage type disparaging comments when they actually try new things. They paid a lot of attention to making meaningful changes this time around and I respect the hell out of the effort.

I think people that are flat complaining are just whiny tools, but you aren't being understanding of teams/agents that pay a ton of money for their players/teams getting to VET to have the builds be slaughtered by major changes w/out just throwing the base a bone and giving a seasons worth of respec for free.

Imo few to zero people would complain about these changes if they came with a respec for Vet level players

What I find odd is that they don't tell you ahead of time when the changes are going to be made. They literally tell you as they happen. Presumably they had decided and were working on the change month's-weeks ago. They didn't just decide on the change and make it the day season 29 started but that's when we all find it out. Why not tell people what the changes are going to be before the season starts? Give us as much notice as possible. That would a courtesy and respect to your customer base.

I definitely get it, that's why I said it was an "understandable" reaction above. And agree there could be a heads up, but these are exciting changes and are a breath of fresh air compared to the handful of plays we sometimes get between seasons. There's a willingness to try something new that really hasn't been around in the last six months to a year. We should be celebrating instead of nitpicking.

meh, it's not nitpicking for the guy/s that just dropped a couple hundo on getting their team to Vet

We cant have our cake and eat it too. We season after season thread after thread suggest complain and whine about changes we want don't want dream of etc. We know they will be thrust upon us at the last possible moment every offseason. It is as much part of the game as touchdowns and turnovers. We just have to take our lumps, I don't think anyone can argue the changing sim is something everyone has to deal with. Its good for the game.

I have repeatedly stated that I am a fan of the changes but as an owner of a team that just hit vet, it could hurt my team an awful lot. It is a major change and one that was needed. Allowing teams to make some adjustments after the changes that alter the game significantly is a no brainer IMO.

Surely the compromise could be to allow users until the end of day 0 to use their respecs.

10 mins into the 1st quarter in a game we're winning and we have literally 0 morale on our entire offense, which causes plays like that to occur. also worth noting we have ~70 toughness on our entire OL and plenty of heart.

edit: update for the end of game, roughly ~90 rev cakes and i would say we have one of the better tuned balanced offensive lines in regards to the recent changes.

Not literally... but it is very low, agreed.

Does seem a bit weird. Sitting on 60-70 toughness as well as decent balance and we are still just getting our asses handed to us (morale-wise). I could understand if the dline was rocking significant Beat Down, Unstoppable Force, Showboat and 100's in intimidation but that obviously isn't happening here.

While I can understand frustrations, I am a fan of these changes and hopefully more that will come in the next few seasons. My hope would be that it shakes things up enough with builds and team dispositions that the same 10-15 people don't have to coach 80% of the teams. Honestly if respecs are given out, great, but lets not demand anything. If needed, a reset can always be another way to adjust to the changes as well.

I'm also a BIG fan of the changes, i just don't understand how one can be against a full respec after big changes like that? Specially since they announce after everyone spent the skill points.

Yeah offenses are getting destroyed on morale, even when winning and having production.

But blocking WRs are getting pretty insane high morale, its funny, since they match CBs with bad/mediocre run blocking skills.
