agree - same problem that existed with GLB1 in my opinion. This is a game for coordinators and coaches....not really a player centered game...yet the players are the ones who pay the GLBucks.

THOUSANDS!!
so funny because that BS would almost be believable if we could literally not just look at how many active teams there are and then reference the forum activity as proof. gets even funnier when you factor in how many multi accounts are around and how many coaches have 50-60 players on one account, when you dial that all in, you are looking at 250-500 active users maximum. its whatever though, at least there was some decent upgrades and changes this offseason
Actually it wasn't. Not on our part. You guys were great, but we didn't give you anything good. Our best play of the game was how our punter somehow didn't get the TB when punting from your 19 yrd line.

I coach, for added (no extra charge) entertainment, but as long as teams don't force agents into strict build plans (which, unfortunately, many do and unfortunately many/most agents will comply) there's enjoyment in building a player free of GLB1's slow-build necessity and seeing how he does.
There's a great team I have a number of players on but don't coach on, and it's still plenty of fun to watch players I built playing for it, though that wouldn't be true if I were just fulfilling someone else's build plan (I do accept input, but that's different from someone telling me exactly how they want my player built and expecting me to follow it).

I gotta thumbs down here. If the team owner and coords have a winning pedigree that's because they figured out how to win...and how to build the best players.
In order to be a top five team and win multiple championships a team has to be built in unison. EVERY player needs to fit a specific role and if you let agents build how they want you'll end up with a random roster that is mediocre at everything. Some of the best players I've built so far have been builds outlined by the owner/coaches. BSB is a great example and it's taught me a lot about building players in this game. That's the only way to compete with the top dawgs right now.

This is fine, to an extent.
When I started planning for Fury, I knew what I wanted on the roster. I went so far as to come up with "ideal" builds. When I posted my team signup, I invited players to my private forum as they requested positions. I gave them what I felt was "ideal" but also gave them the latitude to make decisions based on their own experience. I go through a couple times a season to make sure a) people are spending SP and b) to make sure their builds are progressing in key areas. If they aren't, I add them to my build direction post. That said, I always point out that they are free to build their own way.
On the other hand, I had a couple players that were build completely different than my models. I was willing to give them a shot, but once the sim proved they couldn't hang in the system, they were replaced. Freedom to build as you please doesn't necessarily equate to sticking with the team.
I do hate cookie cutter builds, for my teams, I build my guys however I want, But when I build a player for someone else, Ill build them however that person wants. Unless their build sucks, then I just close the build and build it better
