Crazy how few runners are in the top offensive HOF. Is it that with the plethora of all-run teams, people are building more to stop the run? Are we building to stop the run in reaction to the Stunner's dominating the Vet meta since most of us have been destroyed by them in Vet? Is it the blocking changes or the outside run contain change? Or is it just that running offenses need SA's to work? I guess time will tell. I expect a few teams to drop off every season if the mediocrity continues.

lol if you have any aspirations of being in the HoF as a runner in this tier you may as well just retire...it aint happening...you get more than 200 yards and the opposing team just straight up hasn't cared for days...


Maybe in seasoned plus this will be better but i personally think No Boost and erkner suck dick right now...so i basically need to sit through journyman to maaaaybe be good? Absolutely not...the hits have been WAAAAY too hard...im done with a foolish venture like that.

Pretty sure there's a more concerted effort against the run. HAHA's pass defense has some new wrinkles that FSM's doesn't, but the main difference between my two teams D is the run defense.

I know I'm not the only one. GE's zone D was reset to be a lot better against the run. How many teams in rookie/Soph don't put any coverage skills on linebackers with all the points going towards run D?

But most players don't think about that, they're just building for convention. And the roster construction when the team was founded was often for convention as well, which is a bunch of run stuffing LB's, and maybe 1 for pass coverage.

Usually if I'm down 21-0 I'll just close the screen and Box Score the game when I'm in a more rational mood - just felt like this time the Sharks were getting extremely lucky in the first quarter and we were extremely unlucky - and the morale was in their favour. After we were able to even out the morale - we just clobbered them.

Early 3rd - their morale went down after a TD on the opening drive - and they never recovered.

Probably the most defining play - Early in the 2nd and down 21-0, No Name fumbles the ball - immediate sack-fumble to get the ball back and get 3 points on the board. Without that - Sharks probably go up 28-0 and it could be game over.

Patton League had a marquee matchup with ASU vs Salty. I was pretty excited to see how it played out.

QB - EMP averaged 0.9 yards per carry

Yeah, Garrett Peck (last season's sophomore MVP) is having a bit of a down year, but still performing pretty well.

It just takes more than just "plug and play" to be TRULY successful with a running game. Analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of the line and linebackers, plus looking at defensive schemes to determine how and where you should be attacking makes a difference.

So while QB running isn't as OP as it was, it's still really useful. Especially combined with great running backs and offensive linemen.

Really useful may be a bit of a stretch. FBU and Ann Arbor made him look useless.
